The Pakistan Swimming Federation is the governing body of swimming in Pakistan. The Federation was formed in 1948 with its headquarters in Lahore. [1] It has been a member of International Swimming Federation (FINA) since 1948, and was one of the founding members of the Asian Amateur Swimming Federation in 1978. [2]

National Championship

The first National Swimming Championship was held in Lahore in 1951. Since then, National Championships are held annually. The swimming competitions are also a regular part of the National Games. [9]

FINA is the international federation recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for administering international competitions in water sports. Sport in Pakistan is a significant part of Pakistani culture. Cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan, while field hockey, polo, and squash are also popular. Pakistan Tennis Federation

Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) is the governing body of tennis in Pakistan. It has played a vital role in the development of domestic, national and international tennis in Pakistan, producing a number of young talented players. It also governs teams such as the Pakistan Fed Cup team and the Pakistan Davis Cup team.

The National Games of Pakistan is a multi-sport event held in Pakistan. It comprises various disciplines in which sportsmen from the different teams participate against each other. The games are organized by Pakistan Sports Board, Pakistan Olympic Association and the host province.

Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF) is a national governing body of basketball in Pakistan. It was founded in 1952 for the promotion and development of sport of basketball in the country.

Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of Volleyball in the Country. The Federation was formed in 1955 and volleyball activities at the national level were taken up in an organized manner. PVF is affiliated with the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC).

Pakistan Badminton Federation

The Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) is the governing body for the sport of badminton in Pakistan. It was formed in 1953 to promote badminton in country. Nawab Iftikhar Mamdot became the first President and Sultan F. Hussain was the first Secretary General of the Federation.

The Ski Federation of Pakistan is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of skiing in Pakistan. The federation was formed in December 1990.

The Pakistan Gymnastics Federation is the governing body of Gymnastics in the Pakistan.

Pakistan Taekwondo Federation Taekwondo Federation

The Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of Taekwondo in the Pakistan. The federation is headquartered in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan Weightlifting Federation

The Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWF) is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of Weightlifting in the Pakistan. The foundation was formed in 1947 and is headquartered in Lahore.

The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of Table Tennis in Pakistan. In 1951, Pakistan Table Tennis Federation was formed in Lahore. In the same year, PTTF started its activities for the promotion of Table Tennis in the Country. The first National Table Tennis Championship was held in the Burt Institute, Lahore. The PTTF is the member organization of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

The Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation (PJJF) is the national official governing body to promote and control Ju Jitsu Sports activities in Pakistan and is currently headed by Mr. Khalil Ahmed Khan a martial artist having black belt 6 Dan and more than 36 years of experience in coaching. The federation was established in the year 1996. Ju-Jitsu is the only Sports in Pakistan which brought many Laurels for the country by winning Gold, Silver and bronze medals from the official games i.e. Asian Beach Games, Asian Martial Arts Games, Asian Martial arts and Indoor Games.

Pakistan Kabaddi Federation National sport body

The Pakistan Kabaddi Federation PKF is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of kabaddi in Pakistan. The federation manages the Pakistan national kabaddi team.

Alpine Club of Pakistan

The Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) is a non governmental sports organisation for the promotion of mountaineering, climbing and other mountain-related adventure activities in Pakistan. In addition to this, the club serves as the national sports governing body for the sport of mountaineering and climbing in Pakistan.

Singapore Swimming Association

Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) is the national governing body for swimming, diving, synchronised swimming, water polo and open water swimming in Singapore. Founded in 1939 as the Singapore Amateur Swimming Association (SASA), the body adopted its current name in 2002. It has been a member of FINA since 1939, and is one of 43 members of the Asia Swimming Federation.

The 2023 South Asian Games, officially the XIV South Asian Games, will be a major multi-sport event which will be held in Pakistan, primarily in Lahore, the capital of Punjab province. Other sports will be hosted in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Islamabad and Sialkot. The Games are expected to be held in March 2023. This will mark the first time that Pakistan has hosted the South Asian Games since 2004, and the first time that Pakistan has hosted the event outside of Islamabad.

The Pakistan Fencing Federation is the governing body of fencing in Pakistan.The Federation was formed in 1999 with its headquarters in Lahore.
