Valeriu "Valer" Toma (born 26 November 1957) is a retired Romanian rower. Competing in coxless pairs he won a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics, placing fourth in 1980. He also won a bronze medal in coxless fours at the 1982 World Championships. [2]
Rowing at the 2000 Summer Olympics took place at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. It featured 547 competitors from 51 nations taking part in 14 events.
James Bruce Tomkins, is an Australian rower, seven-time World Champion and a three-time Olympic gold medalist. He is Australia's most awarded oarsman, having made appearances at six Olympic games ; eleven World Championships ; four Rowing World Cups and eighteen state representative King's Cup appearances – the Australian blue riband men's VIII event,. Tomkins is one of only five Australian athletes and four rowers worldwide to compete at six Olympics. From 1990 to 1998 he was the stroke of Australia's prominent world class crew – the coxless four known as the Oarsome Foursome.

Ian Andrew Wright is a former New Zealand rower who won an Olympic bronze medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Wright has won 31 national titles during his career. After his rowing career ended, he became a coach and his Swiss lightweight men's four team won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He is now Australia's head rowing coach announced in September 2016. He immediately coached the Australian men's four to a gold medal at the 2017 world rowing championships.
Petru Iosub is a retired Romanian rower. He first competed in coxless fours, placing fifth at the 1980 Olympics and winning a bronze medal at the 1982 World Championships. Later he changed to coxless pairs and won a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics, together with Valer Toma.

Germain Chardin is a French rower. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where he won a bronze medal in Coxless four. Ovidiu Cornea is a Romanian competitive rower. He competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the men's coxless four event. At the 2001 World Rowing Championships he won a gold medal in the men's coxed eight and at the 1999 World Rowing Championships he won a bronze medal in the coxed four event.

Emma Robinson is a Canadian rower. Robinson won two medals at the Summer Olympics as part of the women's eight rowing teams for Canada in 1996 in Atlanta and the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Robinson is also a three time world champion in the women's coxless pairs, when she won gold from 1997 to 1999, she has an additional silver medal, and three bronze, for a total of seven World Rowing Championships medals. She was named the Pairs Team of the Year at the National Sports Awards, winning in 1997 with Alison Korn and in 1999 with Theresa Luke.
Spencer Alf Turrin is an Australian representative rower. He is a national champion, twice world champion, a dual Olympian and an Olympic champion. He competed and won medals in the Australian senior men's coxless four at every World Rowing Championship from 2013 to 2018, culminating in consecutive world championship gold at Sarasota 2017 and 2018 Plovdiv. He rowed in the two seat of the Australian men's coxless four to a gold medal victory at the Tokyo Olympics.
Alexander Hill is an Australian representative rower. He is an Australian national champion, a dual Olympian, an Olympic gold and silver medallist and was the 2017 and 2018 world champion in the coxless four. He stroked the Australian men's coxless four to a gold medal victory at the Tokyo Olympics.
Mădălina Bereș is a Romanian rower. She competed in the coxless pair and the women's eight event at the 2016 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in the women eight event. She is also World and European champion.
Marius Vasile Cozmiuc is a Romanian rower. A 2022 World Champion in the coxless pair, Cozmiuc competed in a coxless four at the 2016 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal in the coxless pair at Tokyo 2020. He married fellow Olympic rower Ionela-Livia Cozmiuc in 2017.
Ciprian Tudosă is a Romanian rower. Comppeting in coxless pairs, together with Marius Cozmiuc, he won silver medals at the 2018 World Rowing Championships and 2021 Summer Olympics.
