Velika Lašna (pronounced  [ˈʋeːlika ˈlaːʃna] ; in older sources also Velika Lašina, [2] German : Großlaschna [2] ) is a small village in the hills south of the Tuhinj Valley in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

German is a West Germanic language that is mainly spoken in Central Europe. It is the most widely spoken and official or co-official language in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Tyrol (Italy), the German-speaking Community of Belgium, and Liechtenstein. Tuhinj Valley

The Tuhinj Valley is a valley in Slovenia linking the Celje Basin with the Ljubljana Basin in an east-west direction along the courses of the Nevljica and Motnišnica rivers.

Upper Carniola

Upper Carniola is a traditional region of Slovenia, the northern mountainous part of the larger Carniola region. The centre of the region is Kranj, while other urban centers include Jesenice, Tržič, Škofja Loka, Kamnik, and Domžale. It has around 300,000 inhabitants or 14% of the population of Slovenia.
