Vertically Challenged is the debut EP from UK hip hop artist Lady Sovereign. [7] [8] [9] It was only released in the U.S. and Australia.[ citation needed ]

Contents

The EP features the UK hit single "Random" and a remix of her limited edition white-label single "Ch Ching (Cheque 1 2)".

In the US, a limited edition was manufactured containing a bonus DVD. The limited edition was not released in Australia.

Critical reception

The Detroit Metro Times wrote that the EP "suitably reps Lady Sovereign’s ample cockiness and lyrical zing." [10] Slate commended Sovereign's "tunefully bratty delivery." [11] Billboard praised Vertically Challenged's "hands-in-the-air breakbeats, Colecovision sound effects, [and] nut-job lyrics delivered in great Cockney fashion." [12]

Ghislain Poirier, often known simply as Poirier, is a Canadian DJ/producer from Montreal who is signed to the Ninja Tune record label. He has, however, also worked with other labels such as Chocolate Industries, Rebondir, Shockout, Musique Large, Intr_version and 12k. His work mainly consists of original instrumental mixes and mixes featuring Montreal hip hop MCs including Omnikrom, Face-T and Séba. He also has collaborated with Beans, TTC, Lotek HiFi and Nik Myo. He is noted for popular remixes of tracks of rock and hip hop artists such as Les Georges Leningrad, Clipse, Editors, Bonde do Rolê, Kid Sister, Pierre Lapointe, DJ Champion and Lady Sovereign. Though he has worked in many different genres of electronic music, he is known for his eclectic taste in music and appreciation of tropical bass sounds.

<i>Shhh</i> (Chumbawamba album) 1992 studio album by Chumbawamba

Shhh is the fifth studio album by the band Chumbawamba. It was originally written and recorded as Jesus H. Christ, an album that relied heavily on samples. The band was unable to procure rights to a number of the songs they sampled, however, and the album was largely re-worked to defend artistic intent and criticize censorship. The album sleeve artwork itself incorporated various rejection letters received by the band denying the rights to the Christ samples. "Shhh" is considered by many to be a "genre landmark."

"Banquet" is a song from British band Bloc Party's debut album Silent Alarm. Originally released on a double A-side single along with "Staying Fat" in May 2004 by Moshi Moshi Records, it was re-released as a regular single in the United Kingdom by Wichita Recordings on 25 April 2005. It was their first single to chart on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks where it came in at number 34, and is often credited as their breakthrough single in North America. <i>Irreemplazable</i> 2007 EP by Beyoncé

Irreemplazable is the first extended play (EP) by American singer Beyoncé. Comprising Spanish, English and Spanglish re-recordings of songs from her second studio album B'Day (2006), it featured as a bonus disc for the North American deluxe edition of B'Day, before being released separately on August 28, 2007 through Columbia Records and Music World Entertainment. It was produced by Cuban American musician Rudy Pérez who also helped with writing the songs in Spanish. Copies purchased from Walmart also contain a DVD featuring a Beyoncé's concert, television performances and behind-the-scenes footage.

Todd Edwards American musician

The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo is a 2009 album by Steve Martin, featuring Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Earl Scruggs, Tim O'Brien, Tony Trischka and Mary Black. It contains 15 songs and is the first album focusing on Martin as a musician. Martin's 1977 comedy recording Let's Get Small, however, did feature him briefly playing the banjo during some of the comedy bits, and The Steve Martin Brothers devotes one side to banjo playing, including earlier renditions of some of the music presented here. The Superions are an American comedy synthpop band formed in Orlando, Florida in 2006 as a side project of The B-52s frontman Fred Schneider with Noah Brodie and Dan Marshall.

Little Bit 2007 single by Lykke Li

"Little Bit" is a song by Swedish singer Lykke Li from her debut studio album, Youth Novels (2008). Produced by Björn Yttling and co-produced by Lasse Mårtén, the track was released on 24 September 2007 as the album's lead single. It was included on the soundtrack to the HBO series Bored to Death, while a snippet of the song was used in the commercial for Victoria's Secret Ipex bra starring Heidi Klum.
