Victor Lamar Law Jr. (born December 19, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Ryukyu Golden Kings of the Japanese B.League. He played college basketball for the Northwestern Wildcats.
Law was born in Chicago, Illinois [1] and attended St. Rita of Cascia High School. In his sophomore year at St. Rita he was selected in the Catholic League All-Conference team; in his junior year he averaged 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, and was selected in the All-State third team. As a high school senior Law was included in the top 100 players in the nation by ESPN (which ranked him 66th), Scout.com (70th), 247Sports.com (89th) and Rivals.com (86th). He received interest from several Division I colleges, and was offered scholarships by Bradley, Creighton, Colorado, Harvard, Providence and Northwestern, among others; he committed to Northwestern on July 4, 2013 [2] and signed on November 13 of the same year. He joined the Northwestern Wildcats in 2014 after his senior year of high school. [4] He had a strong freshman season, starting 19 games as a freshman and averaging 7.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Law shot 44.2% from behind the arc, which was fifth best in the Big Ten Conference. He tore a labrum in the summer of 2015 and missed the 2015–16 season after undergoing shoulder surgery. [5]
As a redshirt sophomore, Law averaged 12.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. [6] Law was a Big Ten All-Defensive Team selection in 2017. He helped Northwestern reach the NCAA tournament for the first time in the school's history. [7] During his junior season, he averaged 12.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. [8] In March 2018, he underwent an unusual diaphragm surgery to address a deficiency in his lung capacity. [6] As a senior, Law started 30 games and averaged 15.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.03 blocks per game. He was named Academic All-Big Ten for the second year in a row. Law appeared in 125 career games in four seasons at Northwestern, averaging 11.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. [9]
After going undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft, Law played for the Orlando Magic in the NBA Summer League and joined them for training camp and preseason. [10] He was allocated by Orlando to their NBA G League affiliate, the Lakeland Magic.
On January 11, 2020, Law signed a two-way contract with Orlando. Under the terms of the deal, he split time between Orlando and Lakeland. [9] Law was named to the All-NBA G League Third Team. [11] In 33 games for Lakeland during the 2019–20 season, he averaged 19.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.7 assist per game. [10] He also played in eight NBA regular season games and one playoff game with Orlando. [10]
On December 4, 2020, Law signed with the Brisbane Bullets in Australia for the 2020–21 NBL season. [12] He was ruled out for the rest of the season on April 8, 2021, due to a torn tendon in his ankle that required surgery. [13]
For the 2021 NBA Summer League, Law played for the Los Angeles Lakers. [10]
On August 27, 2021, Law signed with the Perth Wildcats for the 2021–22 NBL season. [14] In his debut for the Wildcats on December 3, 2021, he scored 37 points in an 85–73 season-opening win over the Adelaide 36ers. [15] [16] His 37 points set the highest score ever by a player in their Perth Wildcats debut. [17] On March 10, 2022, he recorded 20 points and a career-high 18 rebounds in a 97–87 win over Melbourne United. [18] [19] Four days later, he scored a game-high 39 points in a 104–102 overtime win over the New Zealand Breakers. [20] [21] It was the highest-scoring individual effort by any player during the 2021–22 season. [22] On April 21, he was ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a syndesmosis injury to his right ankle. [22] For the season, he was named to the All-NBL First Team. [23]
Law joined the Utah Jazz for the 2022 NBA Summer League [24] and then moved to Japan to play for the Chiba Jets Funabashi in the 2022–23 B.League season. [25]

Luke Dean Schenscher is an Australian former professional basketball player. He played four years of college basketball for Georgia Tech before having stints in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls in 2006 and the Portland Trail Blazers in 2007. In 2010, he won an NBL championship with the Perth Wildcats.
Brad Newley is an Australian professional basketball player for the Frankston Blues of the NBL1 South. After starting his career in Australia, playing for the Australian Institute of Sport and the Townsville Crocodiles, Newley was drafted 54th overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2007 NBA draft. He never played in the NBA and instead carved out a career in Europe, playing in Greece, Turkey, Lithuania, and Spain between 2007 and 2016. James Alfred Ennis III is an American professional basketball player who last played for Hebei Xianglan of the Chinese National Basketball League. He played two years of Division 1 college basketball for Long Beach State, where he became a standout as a senior, earning Big West Player of the Year honors. After being selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the 2013 NBA draft, Ennis moved to Australia and joined the Perth Wildcats. There he won an NBL championship and became a Perth favorite. He returned to the United States in 2014 in pursuit of an NBA contract, and subsequently joined the Miami Heat. He went on to spend time with the Memphis Grizzlies and the New Orleans Pelicans during the 2015–16 season, as well as in the NBA Development League with the Iowa Energy. He re-joined the Grizzlies in July 2016, and was traded to the Pistons in February 2018. He then split the 2018–19 season with the Houston Rockets and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Jermaine Darnell Beal is an American former professional basketball player. He had a four-year college basketball career with Vanderbilt, where between 2006 and 2010 he became the winningest four-year player in school history and earned first-team All-SEC honors as a senior. He began his professional career in Poland, before having stints in the NBA Development League, Belgium, and Brazil. In 2013, he joined the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL) in Australia and helped them win a championship in his first season behind his Grand Final MVP performance. After winning Club MVP honors in 2015, Beal helped the Wildcats win another title in 2016. After parting ways with the Wildcats, he won a championship in Belgium, had a short stint with the Brisbane Bullets, then won another championship, this time in Israel. His professional career ended in 2017.

He played three seasons of college basketball in the United States for the St. Edward's Hilltoppers before joining the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL) in 2020, where he spent three seasons. In 2017, he won the SBL Most Improved Player Award while playing for the Lakeside Lightning.
