Vice Governor of Bali is the Head of the Level I in the Bali Provincial Government who holds the government in Bali together with the Governor of Bali and 55 members of the Bali Provincial People's Representative Council. The Vice Governor of Bali can be elected through general elections which are held every 5 years or can also be an acting deputy governor of Bali without being elected.

Minister of Home Affairs, Soepardjo Rustam, Saturday, March 2, 1985 inaugurated Col. (CZI) I Dewa Gde Oka, as Deputy Governor of Bali. However, Dewa Gde Oka, also remained as Regent of the Badung Level II Region, until a replacement was found.
