Viewpoint is an Australian television commentary program broadcast on Sky News Australia. [1] The program is hosted by conservative journalist and commentator Chris Kenny. The program, similar to Paul Murray Live , sees Kenny and his rotating panel of usually conservative pundits discuss political news of the week. [2]

Sky News Australia is an Australian 24-hour cable and satellite news channel available on the Foxtel and Optus Television subscription platforms. It is also available in New Zealand on Sky Television and Vodafone.

A pundit is a person who offers to mass media their opinion or commentary on a particular subject area on which he or she is knowledgeable, or considered a scholar in said area. The term has been increasingly applied to popular media personalities. In certain cases, it may be used in a derogatory manner as well, as the political equivalent of ideologue.

<i>Paul Murray Live</i> television series

Paul Murray Live is an Australian television current affairs and commentary program, shown on Sky News Australia and hosted by broadcaster Paul Murray. It airs weeknights at 9pm Sydney time.

The program is broadcast from the Sky News centre in the Sydney suburb of Macquarie Park. Initially broadcast on Sunday nights, the program was expanded to twice weekly in 2015 airing also on Friday nights, replacing Friday Live which Kenny also hosted. <i>Friday Live</i> television series

Friday Live is an Australian television commentary program that was broadcast on Sky News Live. The series premiered on 5 July 2013 as an extension of the Paul Murray Live brand. The program is hosted by conservative journalist and commentator Chris Kenny.

The series has been on air in its current format since at least 2012. [5] Sky News has previously aired a program titled Viewpoint which was broadcast between at least 2003 and 2004. [6] [7]

Speculation over the future of the program began when it was omitted from Sky News programming announcements for 2017. [8] It was confirmed that Kenny will move to a new late night format Heads Up in 2017. [9]
