Vijayapuri South is a village in Palnadu district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Macherla mandal of Gurazala revenue division. ^[4]

Geography

Vijayapuri South is situated amidst Rayavaram Reserved Forest and to the northwest of the mandal headquarters, Macherla, ^[5] at 16°18′54″N79°54′43″E / 16.315°N 79.912°E / 16.315; 79.912 . It is spread over an area of 4,704 ha (11,620 acres). ^[2]

Governance

Vijayapuri South gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village. ^[1] It is divided into wards and each ward is represented by a ward member. ^[6]
