Virginia's 28th House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 28 is located in Stafford County and Fredericksburg. The seat is currently held by Tara Durant. [1]

The 1862–63 United States House of Representatives elections were held on various dates in various states between June 2, 1862, and November 3, 1863, during the American Civil War and President Abraham Lincoln's first term. After a recount, the result of the election in the 94th district was called a tie. Nadarius Clark is an American activist and politician who served as delegate for the 79th district of the Virginia House of Delegates. Clark, a Democrat, defeated incumbent Steve Heretick in the Democratic primary and Republican nominee Lawrence Mason in the 2021 Virginia House of Delegates election. He resigned on March 28, 2023 to run for election to a different seat in the chamber. On June 20, 2023 Clark won the Democratic primary for the new 84th district.

The 2023 Virginia House of Delegates election is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, concurrently with elections for the Virginia Senate, to elect members of the 163rd Virginia General Assembly. All 100 delegates are elected to two-year terms single-member districts. Nomination primaries held through the Department of Elections were held June 20, 2023.
