Rajapaksha Mudiyanselage Vishmi Dewmini Gunarathne (born 22 August 2005, known as Vishmi Gunaratne) is a Sri Lankan cricketer who currently plays for Chilaw Marians Cricket Club and Sri Lanka. She plays as a right-handed batter. [1] [2]
In 2022, playing for her school Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Gunaratne scored the first ever quadruple century in Sri Lanka Girls' cricket, scoring 417 off 128 balls against Jayasiripura KV. [3] [4]
Gunaratne played for Chilaw Marians Cricket Club during the 2021–22 Sri Lanka Women's Division One Tournament, and scored 138* in her side's match against Sri Lanka Army Sports Club Second XI. [5]
In October 2021, Gunaratne was selected in Sri Lanka's squad for the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, but did not play a match. [6]
Gunaratne made her Twenty20 International debut on 18 January 2022, at the 2022 Commonwealth Games Cricket Qualifier against Scotland, opening the batting and scoring 8 runs. [7] She missed Sri Lanka's tour of Pakistan in order to sit exams. [8]
During Sri Lanka's series against India in June and July 2022, she made her WT20I high score, scoring 45 as part of Sri Lanka's record opening partnership in WT20Is (87, made with Chamari Athapaththu). [9] In the same series, she made her One Day International debut, on 4 July 2022. [10] Gunaratne was selected as part of Sri Lanka's squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, playing two matches in the tournament. [11] [12]
In January 2023, Gunaratne was named in Sri Lanka's squad for the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, as captain of the side. [13] She was Sri Lanka's leading run-scorer in the tournament, with 134 runs at an average of 44.66. [14] In February 2023, she played four matches for Sri Lanka at the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, scoring 60 runs. [15]
Hettimulla Appuhamilage Shashikala Dedunu Siriwardene, known as Shashikala Siriwardene, is a Sri Lankan former cricketer who captained the Sri Lankan women's cricket team in WODIs. She is the only woman cricketer to take 100 wickets in WODIs for Sri Lanka, and the only female Sri Lankan to combine this with 1,000+ runs. She is also the all-time leading wicket taker for Sri Lanka in WT20I with 77 scalps. She played for Sri Lanka internationally in a career spanning 17 years, from 2003 to 2020.
Atapattu Mudiyanselage Chamari Jayangani is a Sri Lankan cricketer and the current captain of the women's Twenty20 International team of Sri Lanka. Chamari was the tenth captain for Sri Lanka women's national cricket team. In November 2017, she was named the Women's Cricketer of the Year for the 2016–17 season at Sri Lanka Cricket's annual awards. She is the first Sri Lankan woman to play in franchise cricket. In November 2023, it was announced that a special dedicated seating zone at the Sydney Cricket Ground would be named after her as the Chamari Bay.
Nilakshi de Silva is a Sri Lankan cricketer who plays for the women's national team. She made her One Day International debut for Sri Lanka Women against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy on 3 November 2015. A right-arm slow-medium bowler, she was the leading wicket-taker for Sri Lanka in the 2018 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup, with seven dismissals in five matches.

Dinidu Asanka Marage is an Italian cricketer of Sri Lankan origin. A right-handed leg spinning all-rounder, he played in high-level Sri Lankan domestic competitions for Chilaw Marians Cricket Club and Panadura Sports Club early in his career. After emigrating to Italy, he made his debut for the Italian national side in April 2013, at the 2013 World Cricket League Division Three tournament.

The 2022 Commonwealth Games Qualifier was a cricket tournament played in Malaysia in January 2022. Five national teams competed for one place in the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, in Birmingham, England, in July to August 2022. Matches in the qualification tournament were played as Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is).
The India women's cricket team toured Sri Lanka to play against the Sri Lanka women's cricket team in June and July 2022. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day International (WODI) and three Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches. The WODI matches were part of 2022–2025 ICC Women's Championship. Both teams used the matches as preparation for the women's cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. Harmanpreet Kaur was named as India's new captain for the tour, after Mithali Raj announced her retirement from international cricket.
