Aries Vismayas Max Studio complex is Kerala's first DTS studio which is situated in Kinfra Film and Video Park, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. It was set up by Indian film actor Mohanlal but was acquired in 2014 by Sohan Roy of Aries Group.
Kerala, locally known as Keralam, is a state on the southwestern, Malabar Coast of India. DTS, Inc. is an American company that makes multichannel audio technologies for film and video. Based in Calabasas, California, the company introduced its DTS technology in 1993 as a higher-quality competitor to Dolby Laboratories, incorporating DTS in the film Jurassic Park. The DTS product is used in surround sound formats for both commercial/theatrical and consumer-grade applications. It was known as The Digital Experience until 1995. DTS licenses its technologies to consumer electronics manufacturers.
Kinfra Film and Video Park is India’s first Infotainment Industrial Park. It is also the first SEZ in India for animation and gaming. It is situated in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala State. The Park is a fully owned subsidiary of KINFRA, a statutory body of the Kerala Government.

Vismayas Max was the first ever DTS mixing studio in Kerala and now houses Dolby Atmos mixing studio and Da Vinci Resolve DI Suite. The studio has complete post-production facilities consisting of editing suits for both films and TV, a recording studio for song recordings, film dubbing, recording background music, sound effects and a DTS mixing floor both for regular films and animated films. [1] [2] Vismayas Max has started another branch at Kochi with two suites for both editing as well as recording. [3] [4]
Dolby Atmos is the name of a surround sound technology by Dolby Laboratories that was introduced in June 2012 with the release of the animated film Brave.
Digital intermediate is a motion picture finishing process which classically involves digitizing a motion picture and manipulating the color and other image characteristics.
Post-production is part of the process of filmmaking, video production, radio production and photography. Post-production includes all stages of production occurring after shooting or recording individual program segments.
It was acquired by Sohan Roy of Aries Group in 2014 and is presently known as Aries Vismayas Max. Its former owner, actor Mohanlal of the Malayalam film industry, continues to be its Brand Ambassador.
Sohan Roy S K is an entrepreneur based at Sharjah. He is the founder chairman & CEO of Aries Group of Companies and a naval architect. Roy is also the director of the film DAM999 whose screenplay was added to the permanent core collection in library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
