Fremont is a city in and the county seat of Sandusky County, Ohio, United States, along the Sandusky River. It is about 35 miles (56 km) southeast of Toledo and 25 miles (40 km) west of Sandusky. The population was 15,930 at the 2020 census.

Block Communications Inc. is an American privately held holding company of various assets, mainly in the print and broadcast media, based in Toledo, Ohio. The company was founded in 1900 in New York City when Paul Block, a German-Jewish immigrant who came to the United States in 1885, formed an ad representation firm for newspapers. The Block empire grew to encompass many newspapers on the east coast of the US, however with the Great Depression in the 1930s came the loss of all but three properties: the ad representation firm, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and the Toledo Blade. After Block's death in 1941, his children took over the company. They eventually passed it on to their grandchildren, who continue to operate it to this day.

Located at 1200 North Depot Street, the station consists of an uncovered platform on the north side of the east–west tracks, a small parking lot, and two buildings. The former Railway Express Agency/baggage building is boarded up, while the main building has a small, remodeled waiting room for Amtrak passengers as well as offices for the Sandusky Transit System and North Central EMS.

The 1941 Bowling Green Falcons football team was an American football team that represented Bowling Green State University as a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) during the 1941 college football season. In its first season under head coach Robert Whittaker, the team compiled a 7–1–1 record and outscored opponents by a total of 173 to 40. Edward Wellner was the team captain.
