WSHD and WSHD-LP (91.7 and 93.3 FM) are high school radio stations licensed to Shead Memorial High School in Eastport, Maine, United States. The stations serve the areas of Eastport, Lubec, Whiting, Pleasant Point, Perry, Pembroke, and Robbinston. The stations play a very wide variety of music and informational programming. They offer opportunities for students to learn about radio and have their own radio shows. There is also a schedule of live DJ shows hosted by various members of the communities of Eastport and the surrounding area; live DJ programming is only aired on the 93.3 frequency. [2]

WXPN is a non-commercial, public radio station licensed to the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that broadcasts an adult album alternative (AAA) radio format, along with many other format shows. WXPN produces World Cafe, a music program distributed by NPR to many non-commercial stations in the United States. The station licensee, School of Christ, a small private Christian school in Quincy, Illinois, was granted a construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission on November 26, 2001, with the stated purpose "to further the Gospel of Christ to our students and the surrounding area" and "to instruct those students and other interested area youth in the field of radio electronics and production". The station went on the air and applied for a license to cover in August 2002, and the FCC granted this license in September. The station used the slogan "Quincy's True Power Station". KQPW-LP is no longer broadcasting as the FCC canceled its license on June 21, 2006.
WCOM-LP is a community low-power FM radio station, broadcasting from Carrboro, North Carolina. It broadcasts from a radio tower over Mary Scroggs Elementary School soccer field in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Its studios are located in Carrboro at 300-G E. Main Street, near the Cat's Cradle. It is the first low-power FM station in the area, and began broadcasting in June 2004.
