The station is owned and operated by the Virgin Islands Public Broadcasting System, which also owns sister station WTJX-TV, a PBS affiliate.

The two stations share studios on Haypiece Hill in Charlotte Amalie; WTJX-TV's transmitter is located on Signal Hill.
