Wakehurst Football Club are a Northern Irish, intermediate football club who currently play in the Ballymena & Provincial Football League. The club, founded in 1969, hails from Ballymena, although home matches are played at Moyola Park's ground at Mill Meadow. Wakehurst formerly played at the second pitch at the Ballymena Showgrounds, home of Ballymena United, but for 2009–10 this pitch was deemed not to meet the criteria for the Championship, and home games were played at the ground of Tobermore United in Tobermore, County Londonderry, for that season; Wakehurst moved to Castledawson for 2010–11. [1] [2] It is the club's intention eventually to return to Ballymena. [3] In 2016, the club was relegated from the Northern Ireland Football League and spent a season in the Ballymena & Provincial Football League before announcing their withdrawal from the competition.

The club is currently managed by John Clarke.

The club returned to the Ballymena & Provincial League for the 2016–17 season and were joined by fellow Championship 2 drop outs, Glebe Rangers and Coagh United. At the end of the season they announced their withdrawal from football although indicated that it would be a one-year hiatus rather than permanent. [4]

The club played at junior level in the Ballymena & District League and Northern Amateur League until stepping up to intermediate football in 2003. [5] [6]

Mill Meadow is a football stadium in Castledawson, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is the home stadium of local football team Moyola Park F.C. It hosted its first competitive match on 16 January 2010, when Moyola Park hosted Lurgan Celtic in an IFA Championship 2 fixture. Moyola Park had previously played at the eponymous Moyola Park.

The 2013–14 NIFL Championship was the sixth season since its establishment after a major overhaul of the league system in Northern Ireland. This was the first season that the league was operated by the Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL), which took over from the Irish Football Association (IFA) for the 2013–14 season onwards. The season began on 9 August 2013 and ended on 10 May 2014.

The 2014–15 NIFL Championship was the seventh season since its establishment after a major overhaul of the league system in Northern Ireland, and the second season that the league is being operated by the Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL), which took over from the Irish Football Association (IFA) for the 2013–14 season onwards. The season began on 8 August 2014 and concluded on 2 May 2015.

Rathcoole Football Club are a junior-level football club playing in the first division of the Ballymena & Provincial League in Northern Ireland. The club was founded in 2012. The club is based in Rathcoole, Newtownabbey, County Antrim, playing their home games at the Diamond, a two pitch facility that they share with Rathfern Rangers. They gained intermediate status in 2013 and competed in the Irish Cup for the first time in 2015–16, reaching the second round. However the club returned to the junior ranks for the 2016-17 season by dropping down a division. Rathcoole then folded in July 2017 and rebuilt the team and registered themselves again for the 2017-2018 season.

The 2022–23 NIFL Premier Intermediate League was the sixth season of the NIFL Premier Intermediate League, the third tier of the Irish League - the national football league in Northern Ireland. The season began on 20 August 2022.

The 2023–24 NIFL Premier Intermediate League is the seventh season of the NIFL Premier Intermediate League, the third tier of the Irish League - the national football league in Northern Ireland. The season began on 26 August 2023.
