"Ich will" is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein from their third studio album Mutter. It was originally released in Germany on 10 September 2001. Many channels did not air the music video as it was released the day before the September 11 attacks. It was to debut on U.S. television the next evening. The German single contains a live cover of the Ramones song "Pet Sematary" sung by Rammstein keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz.

Built around a sample from Force MDs's "Tender Love" (1985), it was produced by Jim Jonsin for her third album Glamorest Life (2005) and features guest vocals by R&B singer Kelly Rowland. The song was released on September 23, 2005, as the album's second single and became Trina's first top 20 hit as a lead artist in the US, staying on the Billboard Hot 100 for 20 weeks. Elsewhere released in April 2006, "Here We Go" also saw success in the UK and New Zealand, reaching number 15 in both countries. In the United States, the song was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2006 for selling over 500,000 copies.
"Don't Walk Away" is a song by American R&B group Jade, released in November 1992 by Giant as the second single from their debut album, Jade to the Max (1992). It samples the drums from Kool & the Gang's 1975 song "Jungle Jazz" and the chords progression from Stevie Wonder's 1982 song "That Girl". The song was both written and produced by Vassal Benford III and Ronald Spearman, and peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number four on the Billboard Hot 100. Outside of the United States, it also peaked within the top 10 in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, reaching respectively number seven and nine. Its music video was directed by Eric Meza. The success of the single landed the trio spots on The Tonight Show, The Arsenio Hall Show, and Top of the Pops in the United Kingdom.

"LDN" is a song by English singer-songwriter Lily Allen. It was co-written by Future Cut, and features a Colombian porro from the country's Caribbean coast. The song was originally released on limited-edition 7-inch vinyl in the UK on 24 April 2006, accompanied by album track "Knock 'Em Out". It was reissued in September 2006 following the huge success of Allen's first mainstream single "Smile". The re-release peaked at number six on the UK Singles Chart. "LDN" was ranked number 30 on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Best Songs of 2007".
"Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)" was released as a mash-up of DJ Tocadisco's remix of The Egg's single "Walking Away" with the vocals of Chris Willis from David Guetta's 2002 single "Love Don't Let Me Go". The mash-up was first performed live by French DJ and Guetta's production partner Joachim Garraud, though several people claimed to have done it before. It was featured in an advert for the Citroën C4, and peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart, Guetta's first top ten hit in that country. It was released as the single of Guetta's 2006 compilation album Fuck Me I'm Famous - Ibiza Mix 06 and also features on the 2007 Reissue Edition of Guetta Blaster and as the bonus track of Guetta's third studio album Pop Life.

The song relies heavily on the music and chorus from Supertramp's hit song "Breakfast in America" written by Roger Hodgson. "Pale Shelter" is a song by the British band Tears for Fears. Written by Roland Orzabal and sung by bassist Curt Smith, it was originally the band's second single release in early 1982. The original version of the song, entitled "Pale Shelter (You Don't Give Me Love)", did not see chart success at the time of its original UK release. However, it did later become a top 20 hit in Canada and a top 75 hit when it was reissued in the UK in 1985.
Tales Don't Tell Themselves is the third album by Welsh post-hardcore band Funeral for a Friend. It charted at #3 in the UK selling 25,000 copies in its first week and later went silver.

The song debuted on The Zane Lowe rock show on 19 March 2007 and the official music video was uploaded to the band's MySpace page shortly after. It was nominated for the Kerrang! Award for Best Single. The song was once featured on Coronation Street, with David Platt sat in his car listening to the song.

It remains their most successful hit, peaking at number five on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Adult Top 40 for 23 weeks, the second-longest-running number one in the chart's history. Outside the United States, the song topped the music charts of Italy, New Zealand, and Poland, reached number three in the United Kingdom, peaked at number five in Australia, and became a top-10 hit in several European countries.
"Wish You Were Here" is a song by American rock band Incubus and the lead single from their fourth studio album, Morning View. Released on August 14, 2001, it peaked at number two on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and number four on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart that year. "Wish You Were Here" would later be included on the 2009 greatest hits compilation Monuments and Melodies.
