Walls of Jericho is an American metalcore band from Detroit, formed in 1998.
Candace Kucsulain, Apathemy's singer from 1996 to 1998, joined the band when it was founded. [1]
In April 1999 the band released their first EP, Underestimated, which was followed by a second EP, A Day and a Thousand Years, containing Underestimated and demo tracks, released on Florida-based Eulogy Recordings and later by European imprint Genet Records. [2] After touring in support of the releases, the band was signed to Trustkill Records and released their debut full-length album The Bound Feed the Gagged in December 1999 (Genet Records also released the European version). [2]
In 2000, it was announced that Walls of Jericho would be taking part of the Metallica tribute series Crush 'Em All for Undecided Records. [3] Walls of Jericho was scheduled to share a split 7-inch vinyl with Indecision and recorded a cover of the song "Disposable Heroes". [4] The split was delayed and eventually shelved, but Undecided Records included Walls of Jericho's recording on the various artists compilation The Old, The New, The Unreleased, released in January 2005. After unsuccessful auditions to fill the vacant drummer position, the band went into hiatus. [7] Shortly before this, lead vocalist Kucsulain entered a body piercing apprenticeship, which would occupy her free time over the next two years. [1] Also during this time band members Hasty, Ruby and Rawson started a side project band called It's All Gone to Hell. [1]
Alexei Rodriguez joined the band, which began touring again April 2003. The band began writing new material and, in September 2003, completed the recording of their full-length album All Hail the Dead. The band immediately embarked on a European tour with Richard Thurston filling in on guitar from October to December 2003. All Hail the Dead was released in February 2004; the release garnered them support slots for other bands as well as headlining tours of their own. [1] It was not long after the release that Rodriguez left the band. He was replaced by longtime friend Dustin Schoenhofer.
They entered the studio in 2006 with producer Ben Schigel to start recording their third album, With Devils Amongst Us All , which was released in August. "A Trigger Full of Promises" was released as a its first single in April and was included on the MTV2 Headbangers Ball: The Revenge compilation CD.
In October 2007 the band worked with Corey Taylor to produce Redemption, an acoustic-only EP which was released on April 29, 2008, via Trustkill. [8] Taylor providing guest vocals on three of the five tracks. On July 29, 2008, the band released their fourth full-length studio album, The American Dream, that features a return to the band's previous style, and was produced once again by Ben Schigel. In early 2014, they released "Relentless" as a demo. [9] They released No One Can Save You From Yourself on March 25, 2016, via Napalm Records. [10]
Drummer Dustin Schoenhofer was arrested in 2019 for allegedly transporting 632 pounds of marijuana. [11] Walls of Jericho has played sporadic shows since, including appearances at the 2021 and 2023 Furnace Fest events.

Poison the Well is an American metalcore band from Miami, Florida who were last signed to Ferret Music. In 2010, they announced a hiatus to explore other interests. Lead guitarist Ryan Primack and drummer Chris Hornbrook were the only remaining founding members, although vocalist Jeffrey Moreira featured on all five of their full-length albums. The band reformed for numerous shows in 2015 and again in 2016 and 2020; they have since reunited permanently and are working on a new album as of 2024. Their albums have sold a combined total of over 300,000 copies in the United States as of 2012.
Nothingface was an American nu metal band from Washington, D.C., formed in 1994. Their best-known and most prolific line-up consisted of Matt Holt (vocals), Tom Maxwell (guitar), Bill Gaal (bass) and Chris Houck (drums). They disbanded in 2004, only to reform the following year, reuniting with Gaal and Houck, and then disband four years later. In 2017, Holt died from a degenerative disease.
Bleeding Through is an American metalcore band from Orange County, California, formed in 1999. In 2004, Revolver magazine hailed Bleeding Through as one of eight bands ushering in the "Future of Metal" cover story, and Spin called Bleeding Through an "artist to watch" in the magazine's February 2004 issue.
Hopesfall is an American post-hardcore band from Charlotte, North Carolina, formed in 1998. They are currently signed to Equal Vision Records. The band dissolved in 2008 after all members, with the exception of singer Jay Forrest, left the band. Following this, the lineup of the band's first two albums got together temporarily and played reunion shows in 2011. The band finally reformed with the majority of their last album's members and original drummer Adam Morgan in 2016 with a new label Equal Vision Records. Arbiter was released on July 13, 2018.
The Black Dahlia Murder is an American melodic death metal band from Waterford, Michigan, formed in 2001. Their name is derived from the 1947 unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short, often referred to as Black Dahlia. Currently, the band consists of lead vocalist Brian Eschbach, bassist Max Lavelle, drummer Alan Cassidy, and guitarists Brandon Ellis and Ryan Knight. The Black Dahlia Murder has undergone various lineup changes, with Trevor Strnad and Eschbach remaining the only constant members, until the former's death in 2022, which then saw Eschbach take over lead vocals and Knight replacing him on rhythm guitar.
Corrosion of Conformity is an American heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. The band has undergone multiple lineup changes throughout its existence, with lead guitarist Woody Weatherman as the sole constant member. Weatherman, founding bassist Mike Dean, founding drummer Reed Mullin and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan are widely regarded as its "classic" lineup. After a hiatus in 2006, Corrosion of Conformity returned in 2010 without Keenan, who had been busy touring and recording with Down, but announced their reunion with him in December 2014. More lineup changes have happened since then, with John Green replacing Mullin after his death in 2020 and Dean departing from the band once again in 2024.

Throwdown is an American hardcore and heavy metal band from Orange County, California. Formed in 1997, the band has endured numerous lineup changes to the point where no original members remain. Throwdown has toured as part of Ozzfest, Sounds of the Underground, Hellfest, and Warped Tour, as well as with bands such as In Flames, Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, Korn and Cavalera Conspiracy. The songs "Forever" and "Burn" were staples on MTV2's Headbangers Ball and Revolver Magazine called them part of "The Future of Metal" after hearing the album Vendetta. Initially branded a hardcore punk band, albums like Venom and Tears and Deathless took a sharp turn towards metal, with critics likening the band's sound to that of Pantera and Sepultura. The band are straight edge.
Motograter is an American nu metal band formed in Santa Barbara, California in 1995. They are best known for their homemade, namesake instrument, designed with industrial cable and guitar pieces that creates a unique bass sound, and painting themselves in tribal-style body paint for live concerts.
Trustkill Records is an American independent record label that started as a hardcore punk fanzine in April 1993. It started releasing hardcore, metal and rock records and merchandise in 1994. In 2010, the president of Trustkill, Josh Grabelle, formed a new label called Bullet Tooth Records. In 2022, the rights to the label were reverted to Grabelle and he resumed operations. The label has sold over two million albums worldwide.
Primer 55 was an American nu metal band which formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1997. The name originated from the combination of Primer, meaning "something that's unfinished", and 55, which refers to Interstate 55, "the road that drugs run on to get to Chicago through Memphis".
Tear from the Red is the second full-length album by American metalcore band Poison the Well. It was released via Trustkill Records on February 19, 2002. The album was the band's first release to appear on Billboard's Independent Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts, and was responsible for landing Poison the Well a major record label deal. It also featured the band's first single and music video for "Botchla". The release received numerous reissues on various formats over the years through such record labels as Good Life Recordings, Roadrunner Records, Shock Records, Rise Records, Ides of March, and Undying Music, and was digitally remastered in 2012.

With Devils Amongst Us All is the third studio album by American metalcore band Walls of Jericho, released on August 21, 2006, by Trustkill Records. Recorded at Spider Studios in Cleveland with producer Ben Schiegel, it was the first album the band recorded with an outside producer, and with drummer Dustin Schoenhofer. Blending together elements of metalcore, thrash metal and hardcore punk, the album was a conscious attempt by the band to establish their own sound. Its lyrics are mainly focused on overcoming challenges, and also cover personal experiences and social issues.
All Hail the Dead is the second studio album by American metalcore band Walls of Jericho, released on February 24, 2004, through Trustkill Records. It was the band's first album in five years, and only release with drummer Alexei Rodriguez.
