The album received widely positive reviews from music critics and the album ended up becoming the 20th highest-selling R&B/hip-hop album of the 2000–2010 decade according to Billboard.
Blackout! is the debut studio album by American hip hop duo Method Man & Redman. It is the first full-length release by Method Man and Redman after many collaborations. The album continued a string of highly successful Def Jam releases in the late 1990s. The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 with first week sales of 254,000 copies and served as a bit of a precursor to the 2001 major studio film How High. Both rappers enjoyed perhaps the height of their popularity as a tandem after the success of the album and its three charted singles. The singles were also popular videos which were mainstays on MTV and BET. The sequel to the album, Blackout! 2, was released on May 19, 2009.
We Invented the Remix is a remix compilation by P. Diddy and the Bad Boy Family, released on May 14, 2002. It features remixes of hit singles by artists from P. Diddy's Bad Boy Records record label. The album reached number one of the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart for a week and was later certified Platinum for shipments of over one million copies. The album sold 256,000 copies in its first week. The album also reached number 17 on the UK Albums Chart. This was the last album Bad Boy would release under the Arista Records label.
"My Way" is a song from American singer-songwriter Usher's 1997 album of the same name. It features an uncredited rap and background vocals from Jermaine Dupri. Despite moderate airplay, the single sold well and reached number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Due to the disappointment of the "Nice and Slow" single in the United Kingdom, "My Way" was not released as a single there. The song features in the Refrain part of the lyrics and the music of the song by Lil' Troy "Wanna Be a Baller" from his debut album "Sittin' Fat Down South" published officially one month before Usher's song. The music video was filmed and released in 1998 at a broken down garage with a dance competition.
