West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (abbreviated as HIDCO) is a Government of West Bengal owned public sector undertaking headquartered in Narkelbagan, Action Area- I of New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It plans and executes infrastructure and housing development projects in West Bengal which includes buildings, parks, museum, subways, overbridges, drains, sewerage line, water supply lines, beautification works and others. Notable works

Many well known constructions such as the KMOMA, New Town Eco Park, Biswa Bangla Gate, International Finance Hub of Kolkata, Rabindra Tirtha, Nazrul Tirtha, Vocational Training Institute, N–S Corridor, Convention Center etc. are some of the projects developed by HIDCO. Monorail from Ultadanga to New Town via Salt Lake is also being planned by HIDCO. [3]

It was merged with the larger Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority in 2017 to increase efficiency and cut costs.

It is a project developed by the HIDCO and houses an exhibition of Tagore’s paintings, archives, a research centre, an auditorium. and dormitories for students opting to conduct their research on Tagore. It was inaugurated by Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal on 8 August 2012.

Eco Park : is an urban park in New Town, Kolkata, India. With an area of 480 acres (190 ha), including a 104 acres (42 ha) waterbody, Eco Park is the largest urban park in India. The park was conceptualised by Mamata Banerjee, the CM of West Bengal, in July 2011. It is constructed under the oversight of WBHIDCO, along with different other government bodies responsible for implementation of different works inside the park. Eco Park offers diverse attractions, including theme gardens and recreational activities, making it a prime spot for eco-friendly tourism in Kolkata.

Nazrul Tirtha is a cultural and educational center dedicated to the rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. The center is situated in Action Area - I of New Town, Kolkata. It is only 2.50 kilometers away from Rabindra Tirtha. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the center on 24 May 2014 to mark the occasion of the 115th birth anniversary of the poet.

Line 6 is a rapid transit metro line of the Kolkata Metro in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It will connect New Garia with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport via two major satellite towns of Kolkata metropolitan region, Salt Lake and New Town. It currently operates between Kavi Subhash and Hemanta Mukhopadhyay. This line will be one of the most important stretches of Kolkata Metro because it will connect the southern and the eastern parts of the city with Kolkata Airport. The total distance of this route will be 29.87 km (18.56 mi). It connects Line 1 at Kavi Subhash and will eventually connect Line 2 at Sector-V and Kaikhali and Line 4 at Airport.

Tajpur Port is a proposed greenfield deep-sea port in Tajpur, East Midnapore district, West Bengal. The port will be built on the coast of Bay of Bengal near Tajpur. The construction of the port was awarded to the Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited in September, 2022. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee handed over Letter of Intent (LoI) to build the port to Karan Adani, son of Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, at the "Bijaya Sammelani" organized on October 12, 2022 at Eco Park, New Town, Kolkata. After the construction of the port, it will be the first deep-sea port in West Bengal. It is estimated that the port will be constructed at a cost of ₹25,000 crores.

Biswa Bangla Gate is an arch-monument in the city of New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is built by Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) on the Biswa Bangla Sarani at Narkelbagan, Action Area - I of New Town, Kolkata metropolitan area. It also houses India's first hanging restaurant. The visitors' gallery and restaurant are surrounded by glass giving a show to various parts of New Town.

Dumurjala Sports City is a sports complex of 56 acres in Dumurjala, Howrah, West Bengal, India. The complex consists of an indoor stadium with 6000-seating capacity; outdoor grounds for football, cricket, and hockey; a swimming pool; an outdoor gym; and a public park. The complex also has two helipads.

FinTech Hub is a financial, commercial centre and business district located in New Town city, which lies outskirts of Kolkata under its metropolitan area in the state of West Bengal, India.
