White Water Bay is a water theme park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma built in 1981. Built by the Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation and originally known as White Water, the water park was picked up by Premier Parks (then known as Tierco) in 1991 and its name was changed to White Water Bay. Both White Water Bay and the nearby theme park Frontier City were sold again in a seven park package by Six Flags on January 11, 2007, for $312 million. White Water Bay is currently owned by EPR Properties and operated by Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. The park will be renamed Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Oklahoma City in 2020.^[1]

Frontier City is a western-themed amusement park in Oklahoma City. It is owned by EPR Properties and operated by Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. The park originally opened in 1958. Frontier City is one of three Six Flags parks that are not currently branded as a Six Flags park, with Great Escape in Queensbury, New York and La Ronde in Montreal, Quebec, Canada being the other two.

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, also known as Six Flags Theme Parks or simply Six Flags, is an amusement park corporation based in the United States, with properties in the US, Canada and Mexico. It is the largest amusement park company in the world, based on the number of properties owned and is ranked seventh in terms of attendance. The company operates 25 properties throughout North America, including theme parks, amusement parks, water parks and a family entertainment center. In 2017, Six Flags properties hosted 30.4 million guests.

Hurricane Harbor is the name of a chain of water parks that are part of the Six Flags theme park chain. Although the parks are not identical, common features include a variety of body slides, speed slides, tube slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, and shopping areas.

''The Bermuda Triangle, is a set of three flume-style rides that allow single riders with inner tubes*. It is roughly seven stories tall and reaches speeds of 35 miles per hour. The Bermuda Triangle's starting pools are atop the same tower as those of the "Mega Wedgie" and "The Acapulco Cliff Dive". This tower is clearly visible from Interstate 40, with an American flag that could be seen flying on a pole mounted at the top of the tower. 36" Height Requirement
Cannonball Falls is two slides, each with an 8-foot (2.4 m) drop into a splash pool. One of Cannonball Fall's slides is enclosed and features a long left turn followed by a short right turn before dropping into the pool. The other slide is not enclosed, and has no turns. Cannonball Falls's splash pool has two exits; one is a stairway onto the walkway at ground level, and the other is an entry into "Castaway Creek". 42" Height Requirement
The Big Kahuna, Opened in 1995, this family tube ride takes up to four passengers down a 542-foot (165 m) flume slide and then into a 4-foot (1.2 m) pool for a splash landing. Sits on ground formerly occupied by the defunct "All American Plunge". 36" Height Requirement
Swashbuckler Flumes* is a single-passenger flume slide that requires single tubes only. 36" Height Requirement
Lazy River is a 4-foot-deep (1.2 m) canal that travels around the park by a slow-moving current.
The Gangplank is a rock face eleven-feet above the surface of the water at the north end of "Shipwreck Island". No Height Requirement.
Shipwreck Island is an activity pool with wobbly "Lily Pads", a set of high jump rocks known as "The Gangplank", and four body slides: "Calypso Cannonball", "Blackbeard's Revenge", and two rock slides which are closed.
Keelhaul Falls is a shallow water tube ride that floats from one pool to the next via short drops and slides. 36" Height Requirement
Pirates's Plunge, Formerly called "The Black Hole", it is a tube flume slide that takes goes through a dark tunnel and then out into the west end of "Shipwreck Island". 36" Height Requirement
Blackbeard's Revenge is a body slide that follows a clockwise turn and then exits at water-level close to the middle of "Shipwreck Island". 36" Height Requirement
Calypso Cannonball is a short body slide that exits at water level into the north end of "Shipwreck Island". 36" Height Requirement
The Wave Pool is a large pool with depths ranging from the zero depth entry to roughly eight feet. The waves are on for five minutes and then off for thirteen minutes. Top of every hour the pool is cleared for cleaning.

Interstate 40 (I-40) is a major east-west Interstate Highway running through the south-central portion of the United States generally north of I-10, I-20 and I-30 but south of I-70. Much of the western part of I-40, from Oklahoma City to Barstow parallels or overlays the historic US 66, east of Oklahoma City the route generally parallels US 64 and US 70. I-40 runs through or near many major cities including Albuquerque, New Mexico; Amarillo, Texas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Little Rock, Arkansas; Memphis, Tennessee; Nashville, Tennessee; Knoxville, Tennessee; Greensboro, North Carolina; and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Rides on opening day

Every major water ride except one is in place when White Water opened in 1981 is still operational today. The only exception to the rule is the Caribbean Cruise which was replaced by The Big Kahuna in the mid 1990s. Some aspects of the rides (particularly changes at what is now Shipwreck Island) have changed over the years. Below is a list of the names of the rides on opening day, and what they are currently named.

Great Sea Wave, now known simply as The Wave Pool.
The Twister and The Sidewinder, now known collectively as Swashbuckler Flumes.
Pirate's Cove, currently known as Shipwreck Island.
The Rapids, now known as Keelhaul Falls.
Little Squirts Island, now known as Barefootin' Bay.

Defunct rides

All American Plunge, A speed slide that stood where the Big Kahuna is today. Guests rode special kickboards through a small gate and down this slide facing forwards. Guests could either sit atop the kickboard or lie atop it on their stomachs and ride the All American Plunge head first into the splash pool.

There was also a miniature golf area present in the Northwest corner of the park.

Journey to Atlantis is the name shared by three Water Coasters located at SeaWorld theme parks. These attractions, while different from one another, tell a similar story of a trip to the mythical land of Atlantis. Each one combines roller coaster elements, such as chain lift hills and steep drops, with boat-based attraction elements, such as splash-down landings. All three attractions were designed by Mack Rides of Germany.

Adventure Island is a water park located northeast of Tampa, Florida, across the street from Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The park features 30 acres (12 ha) of water rides, dining, and other attractions. The park opened on June 7, 1980, and is part of SeaWorld Entertainment.

Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast is a water park situated in Oxenford, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, owned and operated by Village Roadshow Theme Parks. In 2009, the park received 1,095,000 visitors ranking it first in Australia and eighth in the world. Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast is located adjacent to Warner Bros. Water Country USA is a water park in Williamsburg, Virginia, United States. It is the Mid-Atlantic's largest water park, and it offers live entertainment, shops and restaurants, water rides, and other family attractions, all of which have a 1950s or 1960s surf theme. It is owned by SeaWorld Entertainment. The park is just a few miles away from Busch Gardens Williamsburg, with which it shares clientele. Multi-park passes are available, and a parking pass at Water Country USA is valid for same-day entry to Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Dollywood's Splash Country is a 35-acre (14 ha) water park located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, adjacent to the Dollywood theme park. The park's central theme rests around entertainer Dolly Parton’s childhood swimming in the rivers of the Great Smoky Mountains. Dollywood's Splash Country operates from May through September.

Splish Splash is a 96-acre (390,000 m²) water park in Calverton, New York. It features 30 rides and runs from May through September. Travel Channel ranked Splish Splash the third best water park in the United States in the year 2009, but does not hold the title anymore.

Splash Works is a 20-acre (8.1 ha) water park located within the park boundaries of Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Entry is free with park admission. Splash Works is home to "Whitewater Bay", the largest outdoor wave pool in Canada, and is today home to 16 waterslides. Splash Works operates during the summer months of May through August.

WhiteWater World is a water park situated in the suburb of Coomera on the Gold Coast, Australia. It is owned and operated by Ardent Leisure.

The Beach at Adventure Landing is a 35-acre (140,000 m²) water park located 24 miles (39 km) northeast of Cincinnati in Mason, Ohio. Previously known as The Beach Waterpark, it features ten water attractions, several children's areas, sand volleyball and basketball courts, pool-side beverage service and other special events. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix is a water park located in Phoenix, Arizona. The park is situated on approximately 35 acres (14 ha) of land, making it the largest theme park in the state. It is located in North Phoenix at Adobe Dam Regional Park.

Zoom Flume is a water park in East Durham, New York. Zoom Flume is named after Zoom Flume, the first ride built there. Zoom Flume consists of eight slides, five play areas, and four restaurants. Zoom Flume is opened to public from The end of June through Labor Day.
