Hampton High School is located in Hampton Township, a northern suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. It is managed by the Hampton Township School District. Hampton High School was ranked #1 for the Best High Schools in the Pittsburgh, PA Area and ranked #7 for the Best Pennsylvania High Schools by U.S. News & World Report in 2020. This was a Blue Ribbon School for 1994–96. In a 2007 U.S. News & World Report article titled "America's Best High Schools", Hampton received a gold ranking, making it among the top 1% of US High Schools.

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) is the governing body of interscholastic sports for most public schools in New York outside New York City. The organization was created in 1923, after a predecessor organization called the New York State Public High School Association of Basketball Leagues began in 1921 to bring consistency to eligibility rules and to conduct state tournaments. It consists of 768 member high schools from the state divided into 11 geographic sections. While as its name suggests the vast majority of its members are public, it does include a number of private and Catholic high schools. Most of these are located in Central New York and the Capital District, where parallel sanctioning bodies for private schools do not exist. It is a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations as well as the New York State Federation of Secondary School Athletic Associations.
The AA Massanutten District was a high school conference of the Virginia High School League, consisting of schools in Rockingham County and Harrisonburg, Virginia. Schools in the Massanutten District competed in AA Region III with the schools in the AA Blue Ridge District, the AA Seminole District, and the AA Southern Valley District.
The Northern Indiana Conference (NIC) is a high school athletic conference that was founded in 1927 and spanned from as far west as Hammond and Gary to South Bend/Mishawaka and Elkhart to the east and south to Plymouth. Since its start in 1927, a total of 32 separate schools have at one time called the NIC home. From its inception until 1963, the conference had been divided into East and West divisions. The West Division left to form the Northwestern Conference in 1963. With membership dwindling to 7 members by the 1970s, the conference added former members of the Northern Indiana Valley Conference to its ranks. Currently, every former NIVC member is now a part of the NIC except for South Bend Jackson, which closed in 1973, and South Bend LaSalle, which joined the NIC in 1977, but closed in 2001.

The Rhode Island Interscholastic League (RIIL) is an organization that runs and regulates interscholastic high school activities in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. A total of 54 public and private schools participate in the league and about 20,000 students annually compete in RIIL sanctioned events.
Section 1 is a high school athletic organization that is one of the eleven sections of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA). It is made up of high schools from around the southern portion of the Hudson Valley. The section offers "modified athletics" administration covering grades 7-9 middle school competition in area middle schools. Schools will sometimes compete with other schools outside of the section in tournaments or invitationals. The section is further divided into leagues based on mostly location but also the size of the school. The schools in the section compete with each other over the course of three seasons, fall, winter, and spring.
