William Muse

William Van Muse (born April 7, 1939) [1] was the President of the University of Akron from 1984 to 1992, of Auburn University from 1992 to 2001, and Chancellor of East Carolina University from 2001 to 2003. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]

Biography

William Muse was born in Mississippi. [5] [6] He received a B.S. in accounting from Northwestern State University in Louisiana, followed by an MBA and Ph.D. in Business and Administration from the University of Arkansas. [2] [5] [6] [7] He taught at Georgia Tech and Ohio University. [5] He served as Dean of the business schools at Appalachian State University, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and Texas A&M University. [2] He also served as Vice-Chancellor at Texas A&M. [2] He then served as the President of the University of Akron from 1984 to 1992, of Auburn University from 1992 to 2001, and Chancellor of East Carolina University from 2001 to 2003. [2] [5] [7] In 2007, he worked with Michigan State University on a Kettering Foundation fellowship. [2] [6]

He has served as the International President of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, Chairman of the Akron Regional Development Board, Director of National City Bank, President of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), Director of Southtrust Bank, the Alabama Power Company, and the American Cast Iron Pipe Company. [2] [5] [7] He serves as the Vice-Chair of the United Way Foundation of Greater Cincinnati. [2] [7] He sits on the Board of the TKE Education Foundation. [2] He is also an elected member of the National Issues Forums Institute. [2]

Touchdown Club of Columbus

The Touchdown Club of Columbus was founded in Columbus, Ohio, in 1956 by Sam B. Nicola at the request of state auditor James A. Rhodes, who later became governor of the state. Nicola served as the club's president until his death in 1993. More than a decade later, his son Sam Nicola Jr. took over the Touchdown Club. On January 22, 2020 the President of the Touchdown Club of Columbus, Curt Boster, announced on the club's Facebook page the cancellation of the awards citing difficulty of maintainiting the event without a title sponsor.

Chalokwu is a respected contributor to geological societies based in North America and Africa, such as the Geological Society of America and the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society. Chalokwu was the first full tenured black professor of Auburn University, as well as the founding Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Benedict College. Chalokwu currently serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of Geochemistry and Physical Science at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Akpan Hogan Ekpo Nigerian economist and professor

Akpan Hogan Ekpo is a Nigerian economist and professor. He is currently a Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Ekpo is also the Chairman of the Foundation for Economic Research and Training (FERT) in Lagos, Nigeria. He was the Director General of the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM) in Lagos, Nigeria from May 2009 to December 2018. He is a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Ekpo is also a former Director at the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Beth Elaine Mooney is an American financial executive who is the first woman to be CEO of a top-20 U.S. bank. On May 1, 2011 KeyCorp named Mooney its chairwoman and chief executive officer of the Cleveland, Ohio-based bank. From November 2010 until May 1, 2011 she was the president and the chief operating officer at KeyCorp.
