Williamson Historic District is a historic district in Williamson, West Virginia that roughly is bounded by the Norfolk and Western Railroad tracks, Pritchard, Poplar, Park, Mulberry and Elm Streets. [2]

In 1988, a National Register study of Williamson County historical resources described it as "one of the finest remaining" Gothic Revival style churches in middle Tennessee. The building was completed in 1834.

Maysville Historic District (Mobile, Alabama) United States historic place

The Maysville Historic District is a historic district in Mobile, Alabama. The district covers 451 acres (183 ha) and contains 1121 properties located southwest of downtown and directly south of the Leinkauf Historic District. Platted in 1871 in the midst of a recession in Mobile, the neighborhood did not begin to develop until the late 1890s. Maysville has long been a working class neighborhood; many late 1890s and early 1900s houses were bungalows and cottages, some with modest Victorian influences. Some larger and more decorated houses were built in the northeastern portion of the neighborhood. In the early 20th century and into World War I and World War II, the Port of Mobile and its shipyards became a focus of Mobile's economy, and the population grew in response. The early 20th century saw many craftsman-style bungalows and four square houses built. Minimalist Traditional and some ranch-style houses became popular around and after World War II. Notable contributing buildings in the district are Ladd–Peebles Stadium, built in 1948, and Williamson High School, built in 1965. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Williamson School (Williamson, Iowa) United States historic place

Williamson School, also known as District High School, is a historic building located in Williamson, Iowa, United States. George E. Williamson, for whom the town was named, built the first school buildings in town. As they became too small, the local school district decided to build a larger structure. Chariton, Iowa architect W.L. Perkins designed the two-story brick building, and D.A. Enslow & Son, also of Chariton, constructed the building. The school opened with 11 grades in September 1923 and it graduated its first class in 1926. The gymnasium and auditorium were built in 1929.

Carnegie-Stout Public Library

The Carnegie-Stout Public Library is located in Dubuque, Iowa, United States. The public library had its beginnings with the Young Men's Literary Association, established in 1859, and their book collection was the basis for the library's collection. The books were housed in a variety of buildings over the years. The community applied for a grant from Andrew Carnegie who on January 12, 1901 contributed $71,500 to build the library building. Local businessman Frank D. Stout donated the property, which was worth $20,000, in honor of his father Henry L. Stout. The two-story Bedford stone and brick building was designed by Chicago architects W. G. Williamson and John Spencer. It is considered one of the finest examples of the Classical tradition of Beaux-Arts architecture in Iowa. The main facade is dominated by a Roman Corinthian portico that was modeled after the Pantheon in Rome. Its fluted columns are matched with pilasters on the wall behind. The building was dedicated on October 17, 1902, and it opened three days later. It was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, and it was included as a contributing property in the Jackson Park Historic District in 1986. An addition was added to the east side of the building in 1981.

Williamson County Courthouse (Texas) United States historic place

The Williamson County Courthouse is a courthouse in Georgetown, Texas, United States. It was designed by Charles Henry Page in 1909, and exhibits Beaux-Arts architecture. During the 2000s, the building underwent a $9 million restoration. The courthouse was rededicated in October 2006.
