Marinette County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 41,872. Its county seat is Marinette. Marinette County is part of the Marinette, WI–MI Micropolitan Statistical Area.
The Chequamegon–Nicolet National Forest is a 1,530,647-acre (6,194.31 km2) U.S. National Forest in northern Wisconsin in the United States. Due to logging in the early part of the 20th century, very little old growth forest remains. Some of the trees there were planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The national forest land trees and vegetation are part of the North Woods Ecoregion that prevails throughout the upper Great Lakes region.

Located in northern Wisconsin, the district comprises Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Marinette, Oneida, and Vilas counties, and parts of northern Oconto County, northwest Shawano County, and northeast Marathon County. It contains the cities of Antigo, Eagle River, Marinette, Merrill, Peshtigo, Rhinelander, and Tomahawk.
The Blackjack Springs Wilderness is a 5,800-acre (23 km2) wilderness area northeast of Eagle River, Wisconsin. It is located within the Nicolet unit of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and is administered by the US Forest Service. The area protects four large, crystal-clear springs at the headwaters of Blackjack Creek, part of the Eagle River and Wisconsin River drainage. The area was added to the National Wilderness Preservation System by Congress in 1978 as part of the Wisconsin Wilderness Act following an effort spearheaded by Sen. William Proxmire and Rep. Robert John Cornell.
The Headwaters Wilderness is a 22,033-acre (89 km2) wilderness area located within the Nicolet unit of the Chequamegon–Nicolet National Forest in northeastern Wisconsin. It is the largest federally designated wilderness area on Wisconsin's mainland.

It comprises the village of West Milwaukee and part of the south side of the city of Milwaukee, including the Layton Park neighborhood and Southgate. The district also contains the Mitchell Park Domes, historic Forest Home Cemetery, Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Jackson Park, and the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. The district is represented by Democrat Marisabel Cabrera, since January 2019.

Located in eastern Wisconsin, the district comprises parts of northern Washington County, northern Ozaukee County, southern Sheboygan County, northeast Dodge County, and southeast Fond du Lac County. It includes the villages of Adell, Belgium, Campbellsport, Cedar Grove, Eden, Fredonia, Kewaskum, Random Lake, Saukville, and Theresa, along with part of the city of West Bend. It also contains the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee at Washington County campus, the West Bend campus of Moraine Park Technical College, Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit, Cedarburg Bog, Harrington Beach State Park, and most of the Theresa Marsh. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Kenosha County and part of southeast Walworth County. It includes part of the city of Lake Geneva and the villages of Bloomfield, Paddock Lake, Salem Lakes, and Twin Lakes, and the southern half of the village of Pleasant Prairie. The district also contains the Richard Bong State Recreation Area and Chiwaukee Prairie Nature Preserve. The seat is represented by Republican Tyler August since January 2011.

Located in southern Wisconsin, the district comprises southeastern suburban and exurban areas of Madison within southern Dane County, including the cities of Fitchburg and Stoughton, and part of the village of McFarland. The district also contains Lake Kegonsa State Park. The seat is represented by Democrat Jimmy P. Anderson since January 2017. Prior to the Wisconsin Supreme Court overturning the 2020 district boundaries, District 47 was often used as one of the more extreme examples of Gerrymandering in the Wisconsin Legislature with the boundaries being compared to "swiss cheese".

It contains landmarks such as the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire campus, the Eau Claire campus of Chippewa Valley Technical College, Carson Park, and Water Street Historic District.
