The Women's U-20 African Volleyball Championship, formerly known as the Women's Junior African Volleyball Championship, is a sport competition for national teams with women players under 20 years, currently held biannually and organized by the African Volleyball Confederation, the Africa volleyball federation.

The African Women's Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior women's national volleyball teams of Africa, organized by the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB). The tournament is currently held biannually. The current champion is Kenya, which won its tenth title at the 2023 tournament in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The CAVB qualification for the 2018 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship was a competition for two places at the finals in Japan.

Top three teams which had registered for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship qualified for the 2018 World Championship.

The 2019 Women's African Nations Championship was the 19th edition of the Women's African Volleyball Championship organised by Africa's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Africaine de Volleyball. Held in Cairo, Egypt, the tournament took place from 9 to 14 July 2019.

The 2021 Women's African Nations Volleyball Championship is the 20th edition of the Women's African Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) with Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB). The tournament is held in Kigali, Rwanda from 12 to 20 September 2021. The top two teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship as the CAVB representatives.

The 2024 Men's U20 African Nations Volleyball Championship was the 21st edition of the Men's U21 African Volleyball Championship, the biennial international youth volleyball tournament organised by the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) for the men's under-20 national teams of Africa. It was held in Tunis, Tunisia from 5 to 11 August 2024.
