World Cup Skateboarding (WCS), sometimes referred to as World Cup of Skateboarding, is an international skateboarding organization that hosts the World Championships of Skateboarding series and other skateboard competitions.

Overview

Focusing on the professional skateboarder, WCS has grown the pro tour since 1994 from 3 events to over 20 events that encompass the United States, Canada, England, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Switzerland, Australia, Malaysia and Brazil.

History

WCS grew out the existence of the once thriving National Skateboard Association. Learning from the mistakes that the skateboard industry made during the NSA years, former NSA President and directors, Don & Danielle Bostick have made a commitment to the skaters in developing and directing skateboard competitions around the globe.

Lance Mountain American Professional Skateboarder

Robert Lance Mountain is a professional skateboarder and artist who was one of the prominent skateboarders throughout the 1980s, primarily due to his involvement with the Bones Brigade. As of August 2017, Mountain continues to skate professionally and his sponsors include Flip, Nike SB, Independent Trucks, Spitfire Wheels, and Bones Bearings.

Mike McGill is an American skateboarder who is best known for inventing the trick entitled the "McTwist", an inverted 540 degree mute grab aerial.

Nyjah Huston American skateboarder

Nyjah Imani Huston is an American professional skateboarder and was the overall champion at competition series in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2017, and 2019. He is also the highest paid skateboarder in the world. As of May 19, 2013, Huston has won more prize money than any other skateboarder in history.

Pat Ngoho is an American Artist and Skateboarder from Los Angeles, California. Ngoho's painting's utilize a self termed style called "Free Abandonment". As a skateboarder Ngoho is known for his innovative approach and inventing popular tricks including the Manual Roll. He is a co-founder of the Love and Guts Art Collective.

Tom Schaar American professional skateboarder (born 1999)

Tom Schaar is an American professional skateboarder. He was the first skateboarder to land a "1080," which is three revolutions. He became the youngest X Games gold medalist after completing the first 1080 in a competition at the 2012 Asia X Games in Shanghai; youngest Dew Tour champion, the youngest Vans Pool Party champion, and the youngest "Big Air" gold medalist at the Austin X Games. Before turning 18 years old, Schaar was a nine-time X Games Medalist. On March 20, 2019 Schaar was named to the first-ever U.S.A Skateboarding National Team and will be competing for a spot to represent the USA at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Forbes Magazine listed Schaar to their 2020 30 Under 30 Sports category highlighting the next generation of Sports talent.

The Dew Tour is an extreme sports circuit organized by the Adventure Sports Group, a subsidiary of American Media, LLC.

Bowl-A-Rama was a skateboarding event held annually at Bondi Beach until 2018, and previously Wellington until 2014 and once in New York City in 2012. Founded in 2005, it was the richest skateboard competition in terms of prize money in Australia and New Zealand and was broadcast live on Fuel TV Australia. Vans held the naming rights to the event until 2018 when General Pants Co. Bowl-A-Rama.

Pedro Barros Brazilian skateboarder (born 1995)

Pedro Barros, known as Pedrinho Barros, is a Brazilian skateboarder who is specialized in Bowl and Park Skateboarding. He won the silver medal in the inaugural Olympic men's park skateboarding event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Also in doom metal/dark punk band Melissa.

Jordyn Barratt is a regular-footed American skateboarder and surfer. Barratt lives and works in Encinitas, California.

Keegan Palmer is an Australian goofy-footed professional skateboarder specialising in park skating. He turned professional at the age of 14. As of 2021, Palmer is sponsored by Nike SB, Primitive, Oakley, Independent, Bones Wheels, Bronson Speed Co., Mob, and Boost Mobile. Palmer is currently ranked #7 in the World Skate male park rankings.

Angelo Caro Narvaez is a Peruvian skateboarder. He competed in the men's street event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
