Wrestling at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games were held in Konya, Turkey from 10 to 13 August 2022. Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) has the right to participate with a maximum of one wrestler per weight category in all styles (Greco-Roman, women and freestyle). The maximum number of athletes per delegation is 30.All competitors must be of senior age category (born on or before 31 December 2004). The competitions take place by direct elimination system with an ideal number of wrestlers, i.e. 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, etc. If there is no ideal number of wrestlers in a category, qualification matches will take place. Matching is done in the order of numbers determined by the draw made by UWW. 4 Each weight category begins and ends in a day. The competition takes place in the following format: Elimination rounds, Semi-finals, Repechage rounds, Finals. [1] [2] [3]
The Games were originally scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021. [4] In May 2020, the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF), who are responsible for the direction and control of the Islamic Solidarity Games, postponed the games as the 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed to July and August 2021, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Eldaniz Azizli is an Azerbaijani wrestler competing in the 55 kg division of Greco-Roman wrestling.
Khasanboy Rakhimov is an Uzbekistani freestyle wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's 125 kg event at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships but his medal was stripped as he tested positive for a banned substance. He would have been scheduled to represent Uzbekistan at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, but the Olympic quota for that spot was given to a runner up.
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games were the 5th edition of the event held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the aegis of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It was the first time in history that the event was organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee.
Sanan Suleymanov is an Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the silver medal in the 77 kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway. In 2020, he won the gold medal in the 77 kg event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy.
Ulvu Ganizade is an Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the silver medal in the 72 kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. He is also a four-time medalist, including gold, at the European Wrestling Championships.
Osman Yıldırım is a Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler competing in the 130 kg division of Greco-Roman wrestling. He is a member of the ASKİ Spor Club.
Beytullah Kayışdağ is a Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler competing in the 97 kg division of Greco-Roman wrestling. He is a member of the Ankara ASKI Spor Club.

Zelimkhan Abakarov is a Russian-born Albanian wrestler. He is a gold medalist at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships. He is the first wrestler representing Albania to win a gold medal at the World Wrestling Championships. He is also a gold medalist at the 2022 Mediterranean Games and a silver medalist at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games.
