The show's inaugural Hungarian season ended on 19 December 2010. Csaba Vastag was announced as the winner. It was broadcast on the commercial RTL Klub television station.
The auditions started in the summer of 2010, with more than 5,000 candidates for the first series in Hungary.
The Bootcamp was in the Thalia Theatre where 150 singers competed. In the first round the contestants sang a song of their choice. The judges immediately told the contestants if they were safe or not. In the second round only 50 contestants competed and they chose a song for themselves from a list. After this, based on the judges decision 24 contestants went to the third round called "Judge's houses".
At this stage of the competition each judge mentored six acts. Each judge had help from a guest judge to choose their final acts. Keresztes was helped by Zoltán Ádok, Malek by his sister Andrea Malek, Nagy by Dániel Abebe, and Geszti by Mariann Falusi. Contestants performed one song for their respective judge. Each judge and their guest eliminated three acts, leaving twelve remaining. The judges' houses stage was broadcast in two episodes on 9 and 10 October 2010.

Megasztár - Voice of the Year was a Hungarian a music talent show that started in 2003 on TV2. While it is widely considered an unlicensed clone of the British television show Pop Idol, TV2 maintains that it is a distinct format created by SBS management member Christoph Buerge. The sixth season was the last, because TV2 bought the license of The Voice. The Hungarian edition of The Voice premiered in fall 2012; it will be the rival show to X-Faktor.
Pannonia Film Studio was the largest animation studio in Hungary, based in the capital of Budapest. It was formed in 1951, becoming independent in 1957. The studio is said to have closed sometime around 2015.

The Hungary women's national handball team is the national team of Hungary. It is governed by the Hungarian Handball Federation and takes part in international handball competitions. The team won the World Championship in 1965 and the European Championship in 2000.
Hungary participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Dance with Me" written by Zé Szabó and Kasai. The song was performed by Zoli Ádok. The Hungarian entry for the 2009 contest in Moscow, Russia was selected internally by the Hungarian public broadcaster Magyar Televízió (MTV). "If You Wanna Party" performed by Márk Zentai was initially announced as the Hungarian entry on 3 February 2009, however, the song was withdrawn on 4 February 2009 as it was presented in 2004 as the Swedish Big Brother theme song "We Became Friends". "Magányos csónak" performed by Kátya Tompos was announced as the replacement entry on the same day, however, the song was also withdrawn on 10 February 2009 and "Dance with Me" performed by Zoli Ádok was announced as the final replacement on 23 February 2009.
The Classical Conspiracy is the second live album by Dutch symphonic metal band Epica. The recorded live show took part in Miskolc, Hungary on 14 June 2008 in the framework of the Miskolc Opera Festival, where the Swedish symphonic metal band Therion had done a similar show a year before. Epica performed on stage with a 40-piece orchestra and a 30-piece choir, entirely composed of Hungarian musicians conducted by Zsolt Regos. The expanded ensemble played classical music, excerpts from operas and movie soundtracks, as well as Epica's songs. The album was released on 8 May 2009 through Nuclear Blast Records.
X-Faktor is the Hungarian version of The X Factor, a show originating from the United Kingdom. It is a television music talent show contested by aspiring pop singers drawn from public auditions. The show premiered in 2010 and it continues its success nowadays in the eleventh series.

Tamás Vastag is a Hungarian Music Awards-winning Hungarian singer and actor. He is best known for coming 5th on the first season of the Hungarian version of X-Factor.

Instead of Bence Istenes in Season 7, Kiss Ramona will be the new show host. ByeAlex, Laci Gáspár, Peti Puskás remained in the jury in the 7th season. After 3 years Gabi Tóth, left X-FaKtor, and was replaced by Gigi Radics. Ricco & Claudia won the competition and they became the first group to win the show and also they became the first foreign act to win the show.
Rocktenors is a Hungarian rock band from Szigetszentmiklos formed in 2010, which was started by the second season of the RTL Klub series X-Faktor, and came in sixth place, and subsequently became one of the most successful groups in the series.
Hungary participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The local Media Services and Support Trust Fund (MTVA) and the Hungarian broadcaster Duna Media Service organised the national final A Dal 2018 in order to select the Hungarian entry for the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal.
Mihály Mező (born 1 August 1978, in Gyula), better known as Misi Mező, is a Hungarian singer and musician, most well known for being the lead vocalist for the rock band Magna Cum Laude.
Mutasd a hangod! is a Hungarian television mystery music game show series based on the South Korean programme I Can See Your Voice. Since the show's premiere on 10 September 2023, it has aired two seasons on TV2.
