XIAP-associated factor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the XAF1 gene. [5] [6] [7]
X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP; MIM 300079) is a potent member of the IAP family. All members of this family possess baculoviral IAP (BIR) repeats, cysteine-rich domains of approximately 80 amino acids that bind and inhibit caspases (e.g., CASP3; MIM 600636). XIAP has 3 BIR domains and a C-terminal RING zinc finger that possesses E3 ubiquitin ligase (see MIM 601623) activity. XAF1 antagonizes the anticaspase activity of XIAP and may be important in mediating apoptosis resistance in cancer cells (Liston et al., 2001).[supplied by OMIM] [7]
The activin A receptor also known as ACVR1C or ALK-7 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ACVR1C gene. ACVR1C is a type I receptor for the TGFB family of signaling molecules.
X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein (XIAP), also known as inhibitor of apoptosis protein 3 (IAP3) and baculoviral IAP repeat-containing protein 4 (BIRC4), is a protein that stops apoptotic cell death. In humans, this protein (XIAP) is produced by a gene named XIAP gene located on the X chromosome.
MYC proto-oncogene, bHLH transcription factor is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MYC gene which is a member of the myc family of transcription factors. The protein contains basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) structural motif.
Caspase-7, apoptosis-related cysteine peptidase, also known as CASP7, is a human protein encoded by the CASP7 gene. CASP7 orthologs have been identified in nearly all mammals for which complete genome data are available. Unique orthologs are also present in birds, lizards, lissamphibians, and teleosts.
Baculoviral IAP repeat-containing protein3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BIRC3 gene.
Baculoviral IAP repeat-containing protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BIRC2 gene.
Runt-related transcription factor 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RUNX3 gene.
Death-associated protein kinase 1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DAPK1 gene.
Interferon regulatory factor 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IRF2 gene.
Interferon regulatory factor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IRF1 gene.
Diablo homolog (DIABLO) is a mitochondrial protein that in humans is encoded by the DIABLO gene on chromosome 12. DIABLO is also referred to as second mitochondria-derived activator of caspases or SMAC. This protein binds inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAPs), thus freeing caspases to activate apoptosis. Due to its proapoptotic function, SMAC is implicated in a broad spectrum of tumors, and small molecule SMAC mimetics have been developed to enhance current cancer treatments.
Serine protease HTRA2, mitochondrial is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the HTRA2 gene. This protein is involved in caspase-dependent apoptosis and in Parkinson's disease.
Secreted frizzled-related protein 1, also known as SFRP1, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the SFRP1 gene.
Gamma-interferon-inducible protein Ifi-16 (Ifi-16) also known as interferon-inducible myeloid differentiation transcriptional activator is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IFI16 gene.
Interferon regulatory factor 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IRF5 gene. The IRF family is a group of transcription factors that are involved in signaling for virus responses in mammals along with regulation of certain cellular functions.
Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 inhibitor C is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CDKN2C gene.
Interferon regulatory factor 8 (IRF8) also known as interferon consensus sequence-binding protein (ICSBP), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IRF8 gene. IRF8 is a transcription factor that plays critical roles in the regulation of lineage commitment and in myeloid cell maturation including the decision for a common myeloid progenitor (CMP) to differentiate into a monocyte precursor cell.
N-myc-interactor also known as N-myc and STAT interactor is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NMI gene.
ID4 is a protein coding gene. In humans, it encodes for the protein known as DNA-binding protein inhibitor ID-4. This protein is known to be involved in the regulation of many cellular processes during both prenatal development and tumorigenesis. This is inclusive of embryonic cellular growth, senescence, cellular differentiation, apoptosis, and as an oncogene in angiogenesis.
52 kDa repressor of the inhibitor of the protein kinase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PRKRIR gene.
