Yanovo is a village in the municipality of Sandanski, in Blagoevgrad Province, Bulgaria. It is located 5km away from Katuntsi and 30km away from Sandanski. [1]
Sandanski is a town and a recreation centre in south-western Bulgaria, part of Blagoevgrad Province. Named after revolutionary Yane Sandanski, it is situated in a valley at the foot of Pirin Mountains, along the banks of Sandanska Bistritsa River. Sandanski is about 20 km away from Bulgaria-Greece border and 100 km away from Aegean sea.
Sandanski Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Sandanski, Bulgaria. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Vihren Sandanski. The stadium holds 6,000.
The Popinolashki waterfall is a waterfall in the Bulgaria's Pirin mountain. It is situated at less than 20 km from the town of Sandanski, in a country-side known as Popina laka. It is located at an altitude of 1,230 m on the current of the Bashliitsa river. Its height is estimated at 12 m. There are woodlands in the vicinity. On 11 October 1965 the waterfall was designated a natural landmark.
