Yariulvis Cobas (born 18 August 1990) is a Cuban female rower who has represented her country in international competitions. [1] She competed in the single sculls race at the 2012 Summer Olympics and placed 3rd in Final C and 15th overall. [2]
Robert Norman Waddell is a New Zealand Olympic Gold Medalist and double World Champion Single sculler rower, and America's Cup yachtsman. He is a triple New Zealand Supreme 'Halberg Awards' Sportsperson of the year winner, 1998 to 2000. He holds the third fastest 2000 metre indoor rowing machine time in the world, clocking a time of 5 mins 36.6 secs (5:36.6), which was the previous world record for 19 years before the time was improved by Joshua Dunkley-Smith. He also held the record for 5000m on the rowing machine with a time of 14min 58sec. This made him the first person to go below 15 min for this distance. He holds a black belt in judo. He played rugby union for Waikato. Waddell was Chef de Mission of the 2014 and 2018 New Zealand Commonwealth Games teams, and the 2016 and 2022 Summer Olympics.
Dame Katherine Jane Grainger is a British former rower and current Chair of UK Sport. She is a 2012 Summer Olympics gold medallist, four-time Olympic silver medallist and six-time World Champion. She served as Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University between 2015 and 2020, and is currently Chancellor of the University of Glasgow.
Nathan Phillip Cohen is a New Zealand rower. He is a two-time world champion, and won a gold medal in the Olympics. In 2006, rowing a single scull, he won a gold medal at the World University Games. In doing so, he became the first New Zealander to win a gold medal at the World University Games in any sport. Cohen and his rowing partner, Joseph Sullivan, won back-to-back gold medals in the men's double sculls at both the 2010 and 2011 World Rowing Championships. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he and his partner won the gold medal in the men's double sculls, after breaking the Olympic best time in the heats. In 2013, Cohen was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to rowing.
The rowing competitions at the 2012 Olympic Games in London were held from 28 July to 4 August 2012, at Dorney Lake which, for the purposes of the Games venue, was officially termed Eton Dorney. Fourteen medal events were contested by 550 athletes, 353 men and 197 women.

Lauritz Schoof is a German rower. He was part of the German crew that won the gold medal in the men's quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He also successfully defended the quadruple sculls title at the 2016 Rio Olympics as part of the German team.

Gabriela Mosqueira Benítez is a Paraguayan rower. She competed in the single sculls race at the 2012 Summer Olympics and placed 2nd in Final D and 20th overall. She competed in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, finishing in 1st in the D Final, 19th overall.
Camila Vargas Palomo is a Salvadoran rower. She competed in the single sculls race at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. At the 2008 Olympics she finished in 22nd place, while at the 2012 Summer Olympics she placed 4th in Final C and 16th overall.
Lucia Palermo is an Argentine rower. At the 2004 Olympics, she competed in the women's lightweight sculls with Milka Kraljev, finishing in 17th place. She competed in the single sculls race at the 2012 Summer Olympics and placed 3rd in Final D and 21st overall.

Lars Hartig is a German rower. A World and European medallist, he participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London where he competed in the Men's lightweight double sculls event together with his teammate Linus Lichtschlag. They qualified for the A finals, where they reached a sixth place.
Panagiotis Magdanis is a Greek rower. He is a two-time World Champion in the men's lightweight quadruple sculls.
Michał Słoma is a Polish rower. He won a silver medal, as a member of Polish rowing team, in the men's quadruple sculls (5:55.09) at the 2009 European Rowing Championships in Brest, Belarus, and later represented Poland at his first Olympics in London. Sloma also trained for AZS UMK Energa in Toruń under his personal coaches Alex Wojciechowski, Jaroslaw Janowski, Mariusz Szumanski, and Witold Sroga.
The 2018 World Rowing Championships were the World Rowing Championships held at the regatta course in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The event was held from 9 to 16 September. Events held were men and women's open class, lightweight class, and para-rowing.
