Your Memorial was an American metalcore band from Hennepin County, Minnesota. The group is currently under contract with Facedown Records. Its debut studio album, Seasons, was released in 2008. In 2010, the band released its second studio album, Atonement. Its third studio album, Redirect, was released in 2012. On May 9 in 2017 the band announced that they were disbanding. [1]

History

In 2008 the band released Seasons. [2] This attracted the attention of Facedown Records, which signed the band before the release of Atonement in 2010. [3] In 2012, the band released its second studio album, Redirect. [4] The album also had success on two Billboard charts: Christian Albums and Heatseekers Albums. [5] In 2017, the band announced they would disband but would release a self titled EP, recorded with Ryan Leitru (Nothing Left, ex-For Today), and that it would be released on November 10, 2017. [6]

Musical style

Music critics have placed the band's compositions into various genres, including soft mathcore, [7] melodic hardcore, [7] progressive metal, [2] and the harder subsets crossover thrash, [8] hardcore punk, [9] metalcore, [10] and screamo. [8] Others have characterized the group as an avant-garde metal band that utilizes some post-hardcore elements. [8] [10] The band itself regards its music as Christian metal for its sacred elements and heavy metal for the holistic, encompassing totality of its sound.

Call to Preserve was an American Christian and straight edge crossover thrash band who played a fusion hardcore punk and metalcore. They come from Rockledge, Florida. The band started making music in 2003, and disbanded in 2011. Their membership was vocalist, John Ellis, guitarists, Duke Ahrens, Matt Aviles, and Harbor Partin, bass guitarist, Kyle Bowen, and drummer, Mike Aviles. The band released one independently made extended play, Call to Preserve, in 2003. Their first studio album, Unsinkable, was released by Strike First Records, in 2006. Inked in Blood was an American Christian metalcore and melodic hardcore group. They come from Portland, Oregon. The band started making music in 2001 and disbanded in 2007. Their first show was December 2001 in Portland with Knives Out. The band released two demos, one extended play, Awakening Vesuvius, in 2004. Their first studio album, Lay Waste the Poets, was released by Facedown Records, in 2005. The subsequent studio album, Sometimes We Are Beautiful, was released by Facedown Records, in 2007, as their final recording.

xLooking Forwardx is an American Christian hardcore band, and they primarily play hardcore punk, while they are members of the straight edge movement. They come from Bel Air, Maryland. The band started making music in 1999. Their lineup consists of brothers Justin (vocals) and Josh Chaillou (guitars), their cousin Kevin Doherty (bass), and Kevin O'Brien (drums). The band released a studio album, Ahoy Crew Members!, in 2002 with DFF Records. Their subsequent studio album, What This Means to Me, was released by Blood and Ink Records, in 2004. They signed to Facedown Records, where they released, The Path We Tread, a studio album, in 2005. Their next release, an extended play, Down with the Ship, was released by Facedown Records, in 2012.

Conveyer is an American metalcore band from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The band started making music in 2011. They self released their first album, Worn Out in 2013, and studio album, When Given Time to Grow, in 2015, through Victory Records.

Rival Choir, formerly known as Mouth of the South, was an American Christian post-hardcore and metalcore band from Denton, Texas formed in 2007. The band signed with Facedown Records in January 2014. Struggle Well was the band's last album under the name Mouth of the South. After announcing their change from Mouth of the South to Rival Choir, their new album—I Believe, Help My Unbelief—was released on February 5, 2016, also by Facedown Records. On November 18, the band released the debut single from the new album, entitled "Aftermath".

Poured Out are an American metalcore band from Hollywood, Maryland, and they started making music together in 2014, playing hardcore punk and metalcore. They have released one extended play, Blind Heart (2016), with Facedown Records.
