Yusuf Kifuma Chanzu is a Kenyan politician from Vihiga Constituency. He was elected to represent the Vihiga Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 1997 to 2002 and 2007 to 2013 Kenyan parliamentary election. [1]

The Luhya comprise a number of ethnic groups native to western Kenya. They are divided into 20 culturally and linguistically related tribes. They number 19,823,842 people according to the 2019 national census, accounting for about 35% of Kenya's total population.

Under the Constitution 2010, the role of districts are still unclear as much of administrative authority is being transferred to the county. The capital is Siaya, even though the largest town is Bondo.
Vihiga County is an administrative region in the former Western Province of Kenya whose headquarters are in Mbale, the largest town in the county. The county has a population of 554,622 and an area of 563 km2. Vihiga County was split from Kakamega County in 1990. In 2019's census, Vihiga was found to have a population of 590, 013, an increase of 35, 391 from the 2009's count.
Kenneth Otiato Marende, born 7 January 1956, was the Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya's 10th Parliament. He was elected Speaker on January 15, 2008. Prior to his election as Speaker, Hon. Marende served as the MP for Emuhaya constituency, from 2002 to 2007.

He was the Minister for Forestry and Wildlife and the Minister for Education, Science, and Technology.
H.E. Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, EGH is a Kenyan politician, serving as the incumbent governor of Kakamega County and Council of Governors chairperson. He was elected 4 March 2013 and became the first governor of Kakamega County following promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, and subsequently in August 2017, for his second term as the governor. He is, therefore, the pioneer Governor of Kakamega County under the devolved system of governance in Kenya that established 47 counties. He was previously Minister of State for Planning, National Development and Vision 2030 in the government of President Mwai Kibaki. He was appointed on 14 January 2019 as the Council of Governors of Kenya chairperson. He was rated as the best Governor for the year 2020 by the Infotrak Research Group. H.E Wycliffe Oparanya is also the current Orange Democratic Movement Deputy party leader.
George Khaniri is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Amani National Congress (ANC) and was first elected to represent the Hamisi Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya in the 1996 by election after his father's demise. He retained the seat in the following elections in 1997, 2002, and 2007. He then won in 2013 as Vihiga county senator after the creation of the two tire government following the 2010 new constitution.

On March 28, 2019, Governor Wilber Ottichilo laid a foundation for the governor’s official home which is worth Sh80 million in Endeli Village.
Tiriki is one of sixteen clans and dialects of the Abaluyia People of Western Kenya. The word Tiriki is also used to refer to their Geographical Location in Hamisi Division, Vihiga County, in the Western province of Kenya. Hamisi Constituency now Hamisi Sub County is one of the longest in Kenya stretching from Gambogi to Shiru which borders Kapsabet and Musunji which borders Kakamega Forest.
Yusuf Hassan Abdi is a Kenyan politician, diplomat, social activist and former journalist. He is a former top Director of IRIN. After working many years with the United Nations, he joined the Kenya parliament as a legislator in 2011
Sub-counties are the decentralised units through which county governments of Kenya will provide functions and services. Except for the parts which fall under urban areas, sub-counties will coincide with the constituencies created under article 89 of the Constitution of Kenya. Sub-counties will be headed by a sub-county administrator, appointed by a County Public Service Board.
