Md. Zahirul Haque, [2] [3] best known by his stage name as Zayed Khan, is a Bangladeshi film actor who has appeared in more than 25 films to date. He began his career in 2006 with the film Bhalobasha Bhalobasha. Since then he has appeared in the films Nagar Mastan opposite Pori Moni and Dabangg. He was cast in Antor Jwala (2017) due to director Malek Afsary's preference for him as an actor. Early life and education

Khan was born on 30 July in Pirojpur, Bangladesh. [8] His father's name is M. A. Hoque and mother's name is Shahida Hoque, who passed away on December 27, 2021, one year after death of his father. [9] She was honored with the title 'Ratnagurba'. [10]

Khan studied from Dhaka City College. He used to live with his sister behind the Modhumita. After passing the Higher Secondary examination, he claims to have attended Dhaka University. [10]

Career

Film

Khan began his career in the 2006 film, Bhalobasha Bhalobasha opposite Riaz and Shabnur, later appearing in another movie Mon Chuyeche Mon with them. He acted in Jomidar Barir Meye opposite Amin Khan and Nipun, also starring in Rickshawalar Chele alongside Dipjol. He has also appeared in Prem Korbo Tomar Sathe andToke Bhalobastei Hobe. [11]

In May 2017, Khan became the general secretary of Bangladesh Film Artists' Association. He bagged 279 votes while his opponent, Amit Hasan, got 145 votes. [5]

On 28 January 2022, Khan once again became the general secretary of Bangladesh Film Artists' Association after bagging 176 votes while his competitor, Nipun Akter, got 163 votes. [6] Later, as the allegations of buying votes in exchange for money were proven, the appeal board canceled the candidature of Zayed Khan and declared Nipun Akter the winner. [12]

Politics

Khan is a member of Awami League and central cultural sub-committee member of the party. [8]

Captain Khan is a 2018 Bangladeshi action thriller film directed by Wajed Ali Sumon and written by Delowar Hossain Dil. The film was produced by Selim Khan under the banner of Shapla Media. It features superstar Shakib Khan, Shabnom Bubly, Samraat, Misha Sawdagor and Ashish Vidyarthi in the lead roles. Also features Amit Hasan, Sadek Bachchu, Don and Shiba Shanu in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Anjaan starring Suriya and Samantha. The film had a nationwide theatrical release on Eid-ul-Adha 2018.

Bir is a 2020 Bangladeshi political action-drama film written and directed by Kazi Hayat. It features Shakib Khan and Shabnom Bubly in the lead roles. It is co-produced by Shakib Khan and Mohammad Iqbal under the banner of SK Films.

Mou Khan is a Bangladeshi actress who started her show business career as a model. She made her screen debut in the Film Protishodher Agun (2019), co-starring Zayed Khan. She had previously worked in the films Bandhob and Bahaduri, but the third film in which she worked was the first released. The film marked the second collaboration between Sohani Hossain and Shakib Khan after the huge success of Swatta (2017) and the second collaboration between Shahed Sharif Khan and Shakib Khan after the 2004 film Hridoy Shudhu Tomar Jonno.

Mukul Chowdhury was a Bangladeshi lyricist and musical artist. He has written many songs for radio, television and more than hundreds of films including 'O Madhobi Go Theko Mor Antore,' 'Tumi Accho Sobi Acche,' 'Ek Chor Jay Chole' etc. He has also penned the song 'Ore Nil Doriya Amay De Re De Chhariya.'

Dard is an upcoming pan-Indian Indo-Bangladesh joint psychological thriller action film written, co-produced and directed by Anonno Mamun and with co-produced by Sarder Saniat Hossain, Kamal Mohammad Kibria Lipu, Ashok Dhanuka and Himanshu Dhanuka under the banner of Action Cut Entertainment, Kibria films, Eskay Movies and One World Movies. The film features Shakib Khan and Sonal Chauhan in the lead roles, making it is the first Bangladeshi film to be a Indo-Bangladesh joint production.
