Zendtijd voor Kerken (abbr. ZvK: English: Airtime for Churches) was a special broadcaster on the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system, which was allowed to broadcast on radio and television because of their religious background. It was one of the "2.42 broadcasters" (named after the Article 2.42 of the Mediawet, the Dutch media law, which allowed faith-based broadcasters to get airtime on radio and TV without having to have any members).

On 1 January 2016, ZvK closed down and its programming is now produced by EO. [1]

Evangelische Omroep Dutch broadcaster

Evangelische Omroep is one of the twelve member-based broadcasting associations contributing to the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system. It has as its mission to bring people into contact with Jesus Christ and its statement of faith is a form of Evangelicalism. EO is one of the few broadcasting associations in the pillarized Dutch broadcasting system to have remained totally faithful to its religious roots. For a long time every one of its programmes made reference to God and to the Christian religion, although this is less often the case in the 21st century.

Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated) orthodox-protestant church

The Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated) are an orthodox Reformed, Protestant federation of churches. This church body arose in 1944 out of the so-called Liberation, when many pastors and members refused to go along with the General Synod's demand to hold to "presumed regeneration of infants" at their baptism. Klaas Schilder played an important role in the Liberation. There are currently 270 affiliated local congregations with a total of about 120,000 members in 2016.

Union of Baptist Churches in the Netherlands

The Union of Baptist Churches in the Netherlands is a union of Baptist churches formed by seven congregations in 1881. The first Baptist church in the Netherlands was formed by Englishman John Smyth. The present work is not historically connected to Smyth's congregation. The modern Baptist movement can be traced to the work of Julius Köbner in 1845. The Union of Baptist Churches in the Netherlands is a member of the European Baptist Federation and the Baptist World Alliance. In 1998, the Union had 12,253 members in 88 congregations. The Seminarium van de Unie van Baptistengemeenten Ned is affiliated with the Union. Most Baptists not in the Union fellowship in the Brotherhood of Baptist Churches, formed in 1981.

IKON took care of part of the technical facilities of ZvK, until the closure of both broadcasters.

Interkerkelijke Omroep Nederland

The Interkerkelijke Omroep Nederland (IKON) was a Dutch public broadcaster which made radio and television broadcasts on behalf of seven church communities. IKON also offered other services such as Teletekst, the IKON newspaper, the IKON pastorate and Internet. In IKON's airtime, the Wilde Ganzen collected money for projects in the Third World.

Gerrit Hendrik Kersten Dutch theologian, journalist and politician

Gerrit Hendrik Kersten was a Dutch Christian minister and politician. In 1907, Kersten founded the Reformed Congregations. Eleven years later, in 1918, he had established the Reformed Political Party to realize his vision of "a Calvinist Netherlands without cinema, sports, vaccination and social security". He was the party's first member of the House of Representatives, being elected in 1922. He would remain in parliament until 1945.

Klaas Schilder Dutch theologian

Klaas Schilder was a Dutch Neo-Calvinist theologian and professor in the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands and later in the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (liberated).

Boeddhistische Omroep Stichting was a special broadcaster on the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system, which was allowed to broadcast on radio and television because of their religious background. It was one of the "2.42 broadcasters". The broadcaster was known for broadcasting from a Buddhist perspective.

Joodse Omroep

Joodse Omroep was a special broadcaster on the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system, allowed to broadcast on radio and television because of their religious background. It was one of the "2.42 broadcasters". On 1 January 2016 the Joodse Omroep became part of the Evangelische Omroep due to reconstructions of the public broadcast companies.

Foundation Hindu Media

The Foundation Hindu Media, Dutch: Organisatie Hindoe Media, was a special broadcaster on the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system, which was allowed to broadcast on radio and television because of their religious background. They made programming for the Dutch Hindu community.

Zendtijd voor Politieke Partijen

Zendtijd voor Politieke Partijen is the section on Dutch public television in which political parties get airtime to broadcast their political ads.

The Reformed Congregations is a conservative Reformed church with 152 congregations in the Netherlands, 1 in Randburg South Africa and 1 congregation in Carterton, New Zealand. The denomination has approximately 107,299 members as of 1 January 2015. It is a pietistic Reformed Church. It is affiliated with the North American Netherlands Reformed Congregations.

The Reformed Churches (Restored), also known as the New Reformed Churches constitute a Christian denomination in the Netherlands. It separated from the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated) in 2003. Officially named the "Reformed Churches in the Netherlands", they are usually called the "Reformed Churches (Restored)" to avoid confusion with the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated) and the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (GKN).
