Zengeza East

Zengeza East is a constituency of the National Assembly of the Parliament of Zimbabwe. It covers part of Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. Its current MP since the 2018 election is Goodrich Chimbaira of the Citizens Coalition for Change (previously of the Movement for Democratic Change Alliance). [1]

Electoral history

In 2008, Collen Gwiyo was elected the MP for Zengeza East, defeating Arthur Mutambara (the head of a rival faction of the MDC who remerged his faction with Tsvangirai's after the first round of the presidential election), ZANU-PF candidate Patrick Nyaruwata, and UPP candidate Simba Maxwell.

Arthur Guseni Oliver Mutambara is a Zimbabwean politician. He became the president of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) in February 2006. Under a September 2008 power-sharing agreement, Mutambara served in the government as one of two Deputy Prime Ministers from 2009 to 2013.

He is known for training the best calibre of soldiers during this period, even the late General Solomon Mujuru testified that he was trained by Mutinhiri.

The Movement for Democratic Change – Tsvangirai (MDC–T) is a centre-left political party and was the main opposition party in the House of Assembly of Zimbabwe ahead of the 2018 elections. After the split of the original Movement for Democratic Change in 2005, the MDC–T remained the major opposition faction, while a smaller faction, the Movement for Democratic Change – Ncube, or MDC–N, was led by Welshman Ncube.

Marondera Central is a constituency of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe, covering much of Marondera, Mashonaland East Province. It was created in 2008 from territory taken from Marondera East and Marondera West. Its current Member of Parliament is Caston Matewu.

Christopher Peter Mutekwatekwa Chingosho is a Zimbabwean politician who is currently a member of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe for Headlands since 2015. He also served as deputy minister of local government and housing from 2017 to 2018. Previously, he worked in several government ministries and as a district and provincial administrator. He is a member of ZANU–PF, having joined the party in Mozambique during the Rhodesian Bush War in 1975.

Pelandaba–Mpopoma was a constituency represented in the National Assembly of the Parliament of Zimbabwe. Located in the city of Bulawayo in eastern Zimbabwe, it comprised the high-density suburbs of Imiyela, Mabutweni, Matshobana, Mpopoma, Mpopoma South, and Pelandaba. Its most recent MP following the 2018 general election was Charles Moyo of the Movement for Democratic Change Alliance.
