Zeno Koo Ting-hin (Chinese :顧定軒; born 19 September 1994) is a Hong Kong actor and singer best known for his roles as Ben Chu in the TVB romance series Life After Death (2020) and King Cheung in the ViuTV sports series We are the Littles (2021). He has also starred in the films Tracey (2018), I'm Livin' It (2020), Time (2021), and Cyber Heist (2023).

Early life

Koo was born on 19 September 1994 in Hong Kong. [1] His mother died in an accident when he was young, and his father later remarried, orphaning Koo. [2] He was raised solely by his grandmother, [3] and Koo described his childhood as "rebellious" due to his father's actions. [2] [4] Koo studied at Yan Chai Hospital Law Chan Chor Si College  [ zh ], [5] and while in secondary school, he signed with a modeling agency, First Cast, and had appeared on the cover of Yes! Magazine . [3] [6] After graduation, Koo was recommended by his class teacher to enroll in a two-year acting program at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. [7] [8]

Career

Koo made his acting debut in 2014 with the drama film Enthralled  [ zh-yue ], at the age of 19. [9] He went on to star in several RTHK television series, including Sexpedia . [10] In 2017, he landed his first lead role as a school murder accomplice in the drama film Somewhere Beyond the Mist  [ zh ], [11] [12] and also appeared in the romance film Tracey as a transgender woman in the following year. [13] However, he did not receive any acting roles for the subsequent three years, during which time he worked as a construction worker, customer service representative, and chef to make a living. [7] [9]

In 2020, Koo experienced a breakthrough, landing main roles as Ben Chu in the TVB romance series Life After Death and King Cheung in the ViuTV sports series We are the Littles  [ zh ]. [14] [15] While filming the latter, he was invited by his co-stars Leung Yip, Denis Kwok, and Jeremy Lee to join ViuTV's variety show King Maker III , [9] where he proceeded to the round of 20 before being eliminated. [16] [17] Koo also appeared in the anthology film Memories to Choke On, Drinks to Wash Them Down  [ zh ], [18] the drama film I'm Livin' It , [19] and the horror comedy film Hell Bank Presents: Running Ghost  [ zh ] that same year. [20] The following year, Koo starred in the black comedy film Time . [21] In 2022, he released his first single "Nessie", [13] [22] and went on to appear in the action thriller film Cyber Heist and the horror film Social Distancing  [ zh ] in the following year. [23] [24] In 2024, Koo released his first EP, ZKOOL. [25] [26]

King Maker IV is a 2021 Hong Kong survival reality show on ViuTV as fourth season of King Maker series, accepting only female contestants. It aired from 30 October to 25 December 2021, with Marife Yau (Marf) being the champion, Garie Shum (Gao) being the first runner-up and Rejena Simkhada (Day) being the second runner-up.

King Maker II was a 2019 Hong Kong survival reality show on ViuTV as the second season of the King Maker series, accepting only male contestants, with members of the boy group Mirror also being contestants. It aired from 30 September to 6 December 2019, with Phoebus Ng being the champion, MC Cheung being the first runner-up, and Oscar Lee being the second runner-up.

King Maker III is a 2020 Hong Kong survival reality show on ViuTV as third season of King Maker series, accepting both male and female debuted artists or appearing in TV show before as contestants. The contestants include former girl group As One member Kira Chan, boy group E-kids member Alan Lam, actor Zeno Koo, singers Mischa Ip and Karen Kong. It aired from 2 November to 26 December 2020, with Ben Chiu being the champion, Kira Chan being the first runner-up, Ansonbean being the second runner-up, and Cloud Wan receiving the most votes by audiences in final.

He earned a nomination for the Best Original Film Song in Warriors of Future at 41st Hong Kong Film Awards in 2023.

Kaki Sham Ka-ki is a Hong Kong actor and a founding member of the sketch comedy YouTube channel Trial & Error. He gained public recognition for his supporting role as Chan Keung in the sports film Weeds on Fire (2016), and rose to prominence with leading roles in Distinction (2018), Limited Education (2019), Leap Day (2020), and Far Far Away (2021).
