Zhu Xu (Chinese : ; 15 April 1930 – 15 September 2018) [1] was a Chinese actor. He was well known for his roles in Zhang Yang's Shower and Wu Tianming's The King of Masks , the latter film winning him the Best Actor prize at the Tokyo International Film Festival.

The Embroidered Uniform Guard was the imperial secret police that served the emperors of the Ming dynasty in China. The guard was founded by the Hongwu Emperor in 1368 to serve as his personal bodyguards. In 1369 it became an imperial military body.
