The Zimbabwe men's national cricket team, also known as the Chevrons, represents Zimbabwe in men's international cricket and is overseen by Zimbabwe Cricket. Zimbabwe has been a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992. It played its first Test match in November 2000 against India with a 9 wicket loss in Dhaka, becoming the tenth Test-playing nation. This set Bangladesh on its way of becoming a Test-playing nation, a journey which ended with success on the year 2000.

Tinotenda Mbiri Kanayi Mawoyo is a Zimbabwean cricket commentator and former cricketer. He formerly played for the Mountaineers in the Zimbabwean Domestic Competition. He began his commentatory career as an occasional cricket commentator in the domestic cricket matches which were held in Zimbabwe and in other cricket series including the Sri Lankan cricket team's tour to Bangladesh in 2017-18 after being dropped out from the national team.

Brendan Ross Murray Taylor is a Zimbabwean former international cricketer and a former Zimbabwean captain, who played all formats of the game. Taylor is a right-handed batsman but is also an off spinner. In 2015, former Zimbabwe captain Alistair Campbell described Taylor as "our standout player for the last seven or eight years". He is known for his unorthodox shots especially his ability to play upper cuts over the third man and ramp shots with elegance and are often considered as his trademark signature shots. His style of play and ability to make substantial contribution with the bat often drew comparions with that of Andy Flower. He represented Zimbabwe in four ICC T20 World Cup tournaments in 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2014. Also, he represented Zimbabwe in three ICC ODI world cups as well in 2007, 2011 and 2015.

Hamilton Masakadza is a Zimbabwean former cricketer, who played all formats of the game for Zimbabwe. He captained the national team during 2016 ICC World T20, but was relieved of his duties following an indifferent team performance in the tournament, where they failed to get past the qualifying round. In February 2019, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed that Masakadza would captain the national side across all three formats for the 2019–20 season.

Considered as the greatest Bangladeshi batsman, he was the first Bangladeshi to score a century in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, making 103 not out against Oman in the 2016 tournament. His 103 not out is the highest score made by a Bangladeshi at any T20 World Cup tournaments. Tamim's 128 which he made against England in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy is also the highest score made by a Bangladeshi at any tournaments. He is starting his commentator career on 6 December 2023, Bangladesh vs New Zealand 2nd Test match.

The Bangladesh cricket team was touring New Zealand for a single Test match, a three-match ODI series, and one Twenty20 International from 3 to 19 February 2010. This was 'The National Bank' Series.

Soumya Sarkar is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a right arm medium-fast bowler who mainly plays as an opening batsman and the creator of the good looking "Periscope Shot". Liton Kumar Das,(Bengali: লিটন কুমার দাস; born October 13, 1994) is a Bangladeshi cricketer and the current vice-captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team in all formats. He is a right-handed batter and a wicket-keeper. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in June 2015. He has scored the highest individual score for Bangladesh in ODI cricket (176).

Richmond Mutumbami is a Zimbabwean cricketer. A wicket-keeper batsman, Mutumbami made his first-class debut as a 17-year-old against Southerns in April 2007. Six years later, in April 2013, he made his international debut in a Test match against Bangladesh. He made his Twenty20 International debut against Pakistan in May 2015.

The Zimbabwean cricket team toured Bangladesh in November 2015. In January 2016 the BCB confirmed a further four T20I matches to be played later the same month in Bangladesh as preparation for the Asia Cup and the World Twenty20.

The Zimbabwe cricket team toured Bangladesh in October 2018 to play two Tests and three One Day International (ODI) matches. Bangladesh won the ODI series 3–0. Bangladesh's regular Test captain, Shakib Al Hasan, was unavailable due to injury. Therefore, Mahmudullah was named as captain of the squad in his absence.

The Zimbabwe cricket team toured Bangladesh in February and March 2020 to play one Test match, three One Day International (ODI) and two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. On 26 January 2020, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the itinerary for the tour. It was the first time that a tour between the two sides featured a one-off Test match. Zimbabwe last toured Bangladesh in October and November 2018, and last won a series in the country during their tour in November 2001. On 9 February, the BCB moved the three ODI matches from Chittagong to the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, to give the venue more exposure and international attention. The one-off Test match was the 100th international match to be played between the two sides.

The Bangladesh cricket team toured Zimbabwe in July and August 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The original tour schedule was for two Test matches and three ODIs, but the Test matches were replaced by the T20I fixtures. All the matches took place at the Harare Sports Club. Prior to the series, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) named Nurul Hasan as their T20I captain for the tour, after Mahmudullah lacked performance and results. However, Nurul suffered a finger injury during the second T20I match and was ruled out of the rest of the tour. The BCB named Mosaddek Hossain as the team's captain for the third T20I match.
