340 on the Park is a residential tower in the Lakeshore East development of the neighborhood of New Eastside/ East Loop Chicago completed in 2007. The building was the tallest all-residential building in Chicago until the completion of One Museum Park.
The architectural firm Solomon Cordwell Buenz designed the tower and it was built by Magellan Development. The structural engineering firm Magnusson Klemencic Associates designed the building using prestressed concrete in order increase the floor-to-ceiling heights. James McHugh Construction Co installed post-tensioning tendons supplied by Amsysco Inc. [3]
340 on the Park is set flush next to Randolph Street, allowing unobstructed views of Millennium Park, Grant Park, The Park at Lakeshore East and Lake Michigan. The tower's design also allows for nearby buildings to maintain some views of the park.
340 on the Park was the first residential tower in the Midwestern United States to achieve Silver LEED certification for its "green" design, [4] including a large winter garden for residents. Additional benefits include a connection to the Chicago Pedway system, low-flow water fixtures for both residential and public spaces, and energy-efficient fixtures such as lights and mechanical equipment.
The north side of the building is contoured so that views from The Buckingham next to the building are not interfered with.
Residents of 340 on the Park are zoned to schools in the Chicago Public Schools.
Randolph Street is a street in Chicago. It runs east–west through the Chicago Loop, carrying westbound traffic west from Michigan Avenue across the Chicago River on the Randolph Street Bridge, interchanging with the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/I-94), and continuing west. It serves as the northern boundary of Grant Park and the Chicago Landmark Historic Michigan Boulevard District. Several large theaters, as well as city and state government buildings are on and adjacent to Randolph. Metra's Millennium Station is located under Randolph Street.
Lakeshore East is a master-planned mixed use urban development being built by the Magellan Development Group in the Loop community area of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois, United States. It is located in the northeastern part of the Loop, which, along with Illinois Center, is called the New Eastside. The development is bordered by Wacker Drive to the north, Columbus Drive to the west, Lake Shore Drive to the east, and East Randolph Street to the south. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill created the master plan for the area. The development, which had been scheduled for completion in 2011, was set for completion in 2013 by 2008. Development continued with revised plans for more buildings in 2018 and continuing construction of the Vista Tower in 2019.
The Heritage at Millennium Park, located at 130 N. Garland Court in Chicago, Illinois is a mixed-use tower. Completed in 2005, with a height of 631 feet (192 m) and 57 floors, the building was designed by the architectural firm Solomon Cordwell Buenz. It is the 36th-tallest building in Chicago. Like many newer buildings, the Heritage preserves and makes use of the façades of four existing buildings in its base.
The Buckingham, formerly known as Buckingham Plaza, is a 44-story all-residential condominium designed by Fujikawa Johnson & Associates. Located on East Randolph Street in Chicago, Illinois, the building sits between the new 340 on the Park building to its west and the older Outer Drive East building to its east. Two parks, Millennium Park and Lakeshore East Park, are immediately located to the Buckingham's south and north faces respectively. It is one of the few buildings that predates the new Lakeshore East development in the New Eastside neighborhood.

The Murano is a residential skyscraper in Center City Philadelphia. Part of a condominium boom occurring in the city, the Murano was announced in 2005 and was developed jointly by Thomas Properties Group and P&A Associates. The building, named after Murano, Italy, was completed in 2008 at a cost of US$165 million. The site, previously occupied by a parking lot, was the location of the Erlanger Theatre from 1927 to 1978.
Millennium Centre is a postmodern skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois in the city's Near North Side neighborhood. The building rises 610 feet. It contains 59 floors, and was completed in 2003. The architectural firm who designed the building was Solomon Cordwell Buenz & Associates. Millennium Centre notably sold over 95% of its 350 residential units in September 2000, only two days after the developer had released information about the proposed structure; this occurred before the building had even been approved for construction by the City of Chicago. The building's design incorporates a high-rise park on the roof of the 14th floor, with six two-story townhomes circling the park. Millennium Centre is topped off by a 10-foot illuminated spire, which is included in the building's structural height.

The tower, built by developer Crescent Heights, has 800 apartments and rises 896 feet (273.1 m) making it the city's tallest rental apartment building. NEMA is the eighth-tallest building in Chicago as of 2022 and the forty first-tallest building in the United States. It is the tallest all-rental residential building in the city.
455 North Park Drive or Loews Hotel Tower, also known as Loews North Park Drive, is a 54-story 569 ft (173.4 m) tall skyscraper located at 455 North Park Drive in Chicago, Illinois that is owned by Loews Hotels. The 52-floor building has 86,121 m2 (927,000 sq ft) of floor space. It has 400 hotel rooms, 398 rental apartments, and assorted ballrooms, bars, restaurants and parking spaces. All apartments were sold for $240.4 million. It is based on an L-shaped twelve-storey podium. It was the tallest building built in the city in 2015.
Lakeshore East Building I is the address of the as-yet unnamed skyscraper that is part of the 2018 revision of the Lakeshore East development masterplan. The property is located immediately south of Wacker Drive and immediately west of Lake Shore Drive with a potential address of 300 North Lake Shore Drive. The property was approved as part of the Lakeshore East masterplan with a 950-foot (290 m) height.
The Lumen is a high-rise apartment building in the Playhouse Square district of downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Completed in 2020, the 34-story, 396-foot (121 m) tower sits at the southwest corner of Euclid Avenue and East 17th Street, adjacent to the Hanna Building and across Euclid from the Keith Building. It is the second new apartment building built in downtown Cleveland since the 1970s, following the construction of The Beacon in 2019.
333 North Water is an under-construction high-rise apartment building in the Third Ward neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The 342-foot, 31-story high-rise will become the state of Wisconsin's sixth tallest residential building when it is completed, and will feature 295 high-end apartments, 10,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space, and an adjoining 7-story parking structure with hundreds of parking spaces.
