Contents

Description and history

The Cartopia food pod was established in 2008 [2] or 2009. [3] Thrillist says, "Cartopia is exactly as it sounds: a mecca of food trucks and foodies alike, all looking for the one that's going to do them in." [4] The pod has picnic tables, fire pits, and string lights. [5]

The site was slated for redevelopment, [6] [7] [8] after Vic Remmers submitted plans to construct an apartment building. [9] Instead, the landlord offered two-year lease renewals. [10]
