In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the County of Barrhead No. 11 recorded a population of 5,877 living in 2,199 of its 2,677 total private dwellings, a change of -6.5% from its 2016 population of 6,288. With a land area of 2,385.28 km2 (920.96 sq mi), it had a population density of 2.5/km2 (6.4/sq mi) in 2021. [2]
In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the County of Barrhead No. 11 recorded a population of 6,288 living in 2,298 of its 2,830 total private dwellings, a 3.1% change from its 2011 population of 6,096. With a land area of 2,406.25 km2 (929.06 sq mi), it had a population density of 2.6/km2 (6.8/sq mi) in 2016. [5]

Barrhead is a town in central Alberta, Canada that is surrounded by the County of Barrhead No. 11. It is located along the Paddle River and at the intersection of Highway 33 and Highway 18, approximately 120 km (75 mi) northwest of the City of Edmonton. It is also located along the route of the Express Trail, used by the North West Company. Originally an Indian that was widened by George Simpson and John Rowand to save the North West Company over $5,000.
