Gorewada Lake is a water body in northwestern Nagpur. It is formed by 2,350 feet long dam wall. [1]

Gorewada Lake was developed by the Waterworks Department in 1912 as the primary drinking water source for Nagpur's erstwhile population of 101,000 people. It is still the main source for drinking water in the city. [2] Bordered by thick forest, the lake and its surroundings provide habitat for birds and other wildlife.The government of Maharashtra is currently developing a 1,914 hectare safari in the area surrounding the lake. Leopards, deer, peafowl, and other species can be spotted near the lake. The road near Gorewada Lake is called the Gorewada Ring Road. Neighborhoods near the lake include Jafar Nagar, Zingabai Takli, Borgaon, and Gittikhadan.

The Goldstream Powerhouse is a decommissioned hydroelectric plant located near Goldstream Provincial Park in Langford, near Victoria, British Columbia. Pashan Lake is an artificial lake near the suburb of Pashan, about 12 km from the city center of Pune, India. The lake was built in the British era to accommodate the water requirement of the neighbourhood. The main inlet of the lake is a small river (Ramnadi), which is even controlled by the barrage located to the north of the lake. The river originates from Bavdhan and flows via Pashan, Sutarwadi, Baner to Someshwarwadi before flowing into the main Mula river. Pashan lake has a total catchment area of 40 square kilometres (15 sq mi), and serves as a source of water to the old Pashan village, and the governor's residence, as well. Recent urbanisation around the lake has led to the fall in the quality of the water.

Futala Lake is a lake in Nagpur in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The lake covers 60 acres (24 ha). Built by the Bhosle kings of Nagpur, the lake is known for its coloured fountains. In the evenings the site is illuminated with halogen lights and Tanga (carriage) rides. The lake is surrounded on three sides by forest and a landscaped beach on the fourth side.

White Pond is a 58.5 acre lake and reservoir within the towns of Stow and Hudson, in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The lake has historically provided a source of drinking water to the town of Maynard, and Maynard maintains water rights to the pond and owns some of the land surrounding it. White Pond is adjacent to Lake Boon but their waters are not connected.
