Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe Ltd. (also known as Great Marlborough Productions [1] ), formerly Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe and Cartoon Network Studios Europe, is a British animation studio based in London and owned by the UK division of Warner Bros. International Television Production, a subsidiary of the Warner Bros. Television Group, the television business segment of Warner Bros. Discovery. It is the EMEA arm of Cartoon Network Studios. On 7 April 2021, WarnerMedia, a predecessor to the current-day Warner Bros Discovery, announced that the studio had rebranded as Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, [2] paying tribute to the original American studio, founded by Oscar and Emmy winners William Hanna and Joseph Barbera on 7 July 1957. [5] The Hanna-Barbera name had previously been revived on some Warner Bros. Animation series and films based on the classic franchises, including from the fifth to thirteenth Scooby-Doo direct-to-video animated films, The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania! , the 2017 reboot of Wacky Races and Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs .
The first projects to be greenlit under the new name were a new series and a movie relating to The Amazing World of Gumball . [6]

It began airing on Cartoon Network in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden on November 20, 2017. The series is the second to be produced by Cartoon Network Studios Europe. It is a parody of the 1820 British novel Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott. The show takes on a style very reminiscent of Studios Europe's earlier cartoon, The Amazing World of Gumball, featuring animation created with a variety of different sources.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is an upcoming animated fantasy film directed by Kenji Kamiyama from a screenplay by Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou, based on a story told in the appendices of the novel The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. It is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and New Line Cinema with animation production by Sola Entertainment. A prequel set 261 years before the events depicted in The Lord of the Rings, and around 200 years before the events of The Hobbit, it stars Brian Cox as Helm Hammerhand, a legendary King of Rohan. Also starring is Miranda Otto, reprising her role as Éowyn from the live-action The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
