TLC is a Polish television channel which broadcasts lifestyle-centred television series. It targets mature women and broadcasts programmes related to lifestyle, health, food, and more.

The channel was launched on 15 September 2009 by Discovery Networks Central Europe as the local version of Discovery Travel & Living. It replaced the Pan-European version of the channel, [1] which had been available in Poland since 1999. [2] Unlike the Pan-European version, the Polish channel offers advertising. The channel has 3.6 million subscribers. [3] [4] On 1 October 2010, Discovery Travel & Living Poland became TLC, as part of Discovery's rebranding plan of most of its Discovery Travel & Living channels worldwide.

On 18 August, a block of programmes from the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) was launched on TLC Poland, making Poland the first country in central and eastern Europe to receive OWN programming. [5]

It gained broader popularity after the September 11, 2001 attacks in the US, which was the first major incident to be covered by TVN24. It is available over all digital platforms in Poland as well as in most cable networks and some networks in other countries, including USA and Germany. The audio portion of the channel can be streamed on the internet.

Discovery Historia is a Polish television channel broadcasting history-related programmes. The channel was originally a joint-venture between Discovery Networks and TVN, but TVN left the venture in 2009. It is headed by Barbara Bilińska-Kępa.

Discovery Channel Poland is a Polish television channel. It shows factual entertainment programming, just as its many siblings around the world.
