As one of the most dominant actors in the Bangladeshi movie scene during the 2000s, 2010s and early 2020s, Khan is widely considered as one of the greatest and influential actors in the history of Bangladeshi cinema. He is critically acclaimed as one of the finest actors of Bangladesh. Following his debut in Sohanur Rahman Sohan's 1999 action romantic Ananta Bhalobasha, Khan did not lead to widespread fame, although his on-camera debut was with the Aftab Khan Tulu's romance Sobai To Sukhi Hote Chay, which was released the in following year. Subsequently, Khan established himself as one of the most successful actors in Bengali cinema. The Badiul Alam Khokon-directed Priya Amar Priya (2008) in which Khan played a college student with careless attitude, was a major commercial success in his career, which set several box office records. It is the highest grossing Bangladeshi film of 2008 and also one of the highest grossing Bangladeshi films of all-time. And also the highest grossing film of Khan's career until it was surpassed by his 2023 all-time blockbuster Priyotoma. After the release of the film, Khan gained widespread fame shortly and gained a large number of fan following. He is popularly known in the media as "King Khan" and "King of Dhallywood", also referred as "Number One Shakib Khan". Currently he is the highest paid actor in Bangladesh.

Bidrohi is a 2022 Bangladeshi action drama film. The film is directed by Shahin Sumon and is produced by Selim Khan under the banner of Shapla Media, story, screenplay and dialogue written by Delwar Hossain Dil. It features Shakib Khan, Shabnom Bubly and Sushmita Mridula in the lead roles. Also features Misha Sawdagor, Amit Hasan, Shiba Shanu, Don, Sadek Bachchu and Saberi Alam have played supporting roles in film.

Jor Kore Bhalobasha Hoy Na is a 2013 Bangladeshi action thriller film. The film directed by Shahadat Hossain Liton and produced by Abdul Mabud Kawser under the banner of Tushar Kotha Chitra. It feature Shakib Khan, Sahara and Ayesha Salma Mukti in lead roles. Misha Sawdagor, Sadek Bachchu, Ali Raj and others also played important roles in the film. It is the first digital film starring by Shakib Khan. It was remake of 2002 Hindi film Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge starring by Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen.

Sohanur Rahman Sohan was a Bangladeshi film director and screenwriter, who was best known as the first director of Bangladeshi superstars Shakib Khan. He started his film career as an assistant of director Shibli Sadik. His first film was Biswas Abiswas (1988). He was best known in Dhallywood for directing romantic films. He launched Salman Shah and Moushumi with the film Keyamat Theke Keyamat in 1993 and his Ananta Bhalobasha in 1999 marked a turning point in Bangladeshi cinema by introducing Shakib Khan, who is now one of the biggest superstars in the industry. Other notable films directed by him are Amar Jaan Amar Pran (2008), Poran Jai Jolia Re (2010), Se Amar Mon Kereche (2012) etc. He served as the principal of the Universal Performing Arts Institute.

Antaratma is an upcoming Bangladeshi romantic family drama film. The film directed by Wajed Ali Sumon and produced by Sohani Hossain under the banner of her own Taranga Entertainment. It feature Shakib Khan and Darshana Banik in the lead roles. The film marked as the second collaboration between Sohani Hossain and Shakib Khan after the huge success of Swatta (2017) and the second collaboration between Shahed Sharif Khan and Shakib Khan after the 2004 film Hridoy Shudhu Tomar Jonno.

Golui is a 2022 Bangladeshi periodical romantic film directed by SA Haque Alik and co-produced by Khorshed Alam Khosru. It has been made on the basis of the traditional boat race of rural Bengal and the life of the people of a vast village. The film stars Shakib Khan, Puja Cherry, Azizul Hakim and Suchorita in the lead roles. The cast also includes Fazlur Rahman Babu, Suchorita, Ali Raj, Jhuna Chowdhury, Somu Chowdhury in supporting roles.

Leader: Amie Bangladesh is a 2023 Bangladeshi political thriller film. The directed by Topu Khan and produced by Syed Ashik Rahman under the banner of Bengal Multimedia. It revolves around Nafees Iqbal, a conscious young man embarked on a transformative journey to rid society of corruption and the misuse of political power, featuring Shobnom Bubly, Misha Sawdagor, Shahiduzzaman Selim in the lead roles.

The story and dialogues of the film are written by Abu Saeed Khan and Henry Amin respectively. The film stars Shakib Khan and Erin Zaman played the lead roles in the film. <i>Priyotoma</i> 2023 Bangladeshi film

Priyotoma is a 2023 Bangladeshi romantic action film. The film was directed by Himel Ashraf, and is the second he has directed. It was produced by Arshad Adnan under the banner of Versatile Media. The film story was written by late Faruk Hossain alone and Himel Ashraf jointly wrote the screenplay and dialogues with him. It is a tragic love story that left an indelible mark on Sumon's life, shattering his world and left him forever transformed, featuring Idhika Paul, Shahiduzzaman Selim and Lutfur Rahman George in the lead role. Many others including Elina Shammi, Don and Shiba Shanu performed important roles.

Raja 420 is 2016 Bangladeshi comedy film. The film's directed by Uttam Akash and produced by Gudhuli Films. The film features superstar Shakib Khan and Apu Biswas in the lead roles. Also features Omar Sani, Ravina Brishti, Amit Hasan, Sadek Bachchu and Kabila. The film's on February 5, 2016.

Bhalobasha Express is a 2014 Bangladeshi romantic drama film directed by Shafi Uddin Shafi and produced Mohammad Abul Kalam under his Titash Kothachitro. It features superstar Shakib Khan, Apu Biswas and Mim Chowdhury in the lead roles. Also Ahmed Sharif, Misha Sawdagor, Afzal Sharif, Abdullah Saki, DJ Shohel have played important roles in the film.
