In his career spanning about two decades, Khan has been the propeller of the contemporary film industry Dhallywood. As of 2022, he was the highest paid actor in Bangladesh.

<i>Devdas</i> (2013 film) 2013 Bangladeshi film

Devdas is a 2013 Bangladeshi romantic period drama film based on the Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay novel Devdas. The film is directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam, who also directed the 1982 version and produced by Faridur Reza Sagar under the banner of his Impress Telefilm, based on the 1917 novel of the same name by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. The film is set in the early 1900s and follows Shakib Khan as Devdas Mukherjee, a wealthy law graduate who returns from Calcutta after 13 years to marry his childhood sweetheart, Paro, played by Apu Biswas. However, the rejection of this marriage by his own family sparks his descent into alcoholism, ultimately leading to his emotional deterioration and him seeking refuge with a courtesan, Chandramukhi, played by Moushumi.

<i>Eito Prem</i> 2015 Bangladeshi film

Eito Prem is a 2015 Bangladeshi romance feature film written by Shohel Arman and also directed by Shohel Arman. The film stars Shakib Khan and Bindu as the lead pair of the film along with the Ramendu Majumdar, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Afroza Banu, Amit Hasan and Syed Hasan Imam. The film's score and soundtrack were composed by Habib Wahid.

Subir Nandi was a Bangladeshi musician. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer five times for his performance in the films Mahanayak (1984), Shuvoda (1986), Srabon Megher Din (1999), Megher Pore Megh (2004) and Mohua Sundori (2015). He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2019 by the Government of Bangladesh.

Montazur Rahman Akbar is a Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter, producer, social activist and entrepreneur. He is known for his work in the Bengali-language film industry, which is centered in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Akbar also fought in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.

He made his debut in as a lead role in the Bangladeshi film Ji Hujur (2012) and he won Bioscope Borsho-Sera Awards for Best acting in Poramon (2013). He also won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the film Jannat (2018).

Mamnun Hasan Emon is a Bangladeshi film actor and model. He made his debut with the 2007 film Daruchini Dip starring Riaz, Momo and Bindu. He is addressed as "King of Dhallywood" and "Superstar" and "Film Star" in the media.

Nasrin Akter Nipun, known by her stage name as Nipun is a Bangladeshi film actress. She was the former general secretary of Bangladesh Film Artistes Association, the organisation of local film artists. She won the National Film Awards twice - Best Actress for Shajghor (2007) and Best Supporting Actress for Chander Moto Bou (2009). As of 2014, she has acted in a total of 35 films including Pitar Ason, Rickshawalar Prem, Praner Shami, and Porichoi.

Kusum Kusum Prem is a Bangladeshi Bengali language film. It was released 2011. The film directed by Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar who also wrote the story. The film produced by Impress Telefilm Limited. Film stars Moushumi, Ferdous and Riaz in lead roles along with ATM Shamsuzzaman, Prabir Mitra, Khaleda Akter Kalpana, Amol Bose and Nasima Khan.

Shahid Hasan, known by professionally as Misha Sawdagor, is a Bangladeshi film actor known for playing villains. As of 2020, according to him, he has performed in more than 700 films. He won Bangladesh National Film Awards 3 times for his roles in the films Boss Number One (2011), Olpo Olpo Premer Golpo (2014) and Bir (2020). He first got noticed as a villain in the 1995 film Asha Bhalobasha starring Salman Shah. After Shah's death, he continued playing the villain opposite other actors, but failed to achieve any mainstream success or recognition. From 2006 onwards he started playing the main antagonist in a long string of hit movies starring Shakib Khan in the lead role and mostly Apu Biswas as the lead actress, and established himself as a leading antagonist in the Cinema of Bangladesh.

Helal Khan is a Bangladeshi film actor and producer. His debut film was Priyo Tumi (1995). In his career, he has acted over 50 films. Couple of times Khan received National Film Awards in the year 2002 and 2003.

Shakib Khan is a Bangladeshi film actor, producer, occasional singer, film organiser and media personality who works in Bengali films, both in Bangladesh and West Bengal. Khan has prolific career spanning over two decades, during which he has appeared in more than 250 films and described as one of the most successful actors in Bangladesh. Most of his films were commercially and critically successful.
