FThis is a list of notable films that are primarily about animals . While films involving dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals are included on this list, those concerning legendary creatures, such as dragons or vampires, are not; however, films concerning anthropomorphised animals (such as Scooby-Doo), gigantized animals (such as King Kong), magical animals (such as Prancer), mutated forms of real animals (such as Anaconda ), or fictional hybrids of real animals (such as Sharktopus ) are considered to be films about animals, and are thus featured on this list.

The PATSY Award was originated by the Hollywood office of the American Humane Association in 1939. They decided to honor animal performers after a horse was killed in an on-set accident during the filming of the Tyrone Power film Jesse James. The letters are an acronym, and stand for Picture Animal Top Star of the Year. A later acronym was also included: Performing Animal Television Star of the Year.

Wang Film Productions Co., Ltd. is one of the oldest and most prolific Taiwanese-American animation studios since 1978. The company, based in Xindian, Taipei and Los Angeles, California, has done traditional hand-drawn 2D animation/ink and paint for various TV shows and films for studios across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

He is also known for his unorthodox, spontaneous, and daring style of presenting wildlife documentaries as well as for including factual knowledge in the proceedings.

Zoobooks is a monthly subscription magazine for children. Each issue of Zoobooks covers a different animal or group of animals with pictures, educational diagrams, facts, and games. Zoobooks also has available online content to further explore the text.

Richard Jones is a Canadian voice actor, voice director, writer and content developer. Since 1982, he has worked with Alphanim, Cinar and Nelvana. Jones has been nominated for a Gemini Award twice in 1988 and 2003.

Ralph Zondag is a Canadian animator, storyboard artist, and director.

Weston Woods Studios is a production company that makes audio and short films based on well-known books for children. It was founded in 1953 by Morton Schindel in Weston, Connecticut, and named after the wooded area near his home. Weston Woods Studios' first project was Andy and the Lion in 1954, and its first animated film was The Snowy Day in 1964. In 1968, Weston Woods began a long collaboration with animator Gene Deitch. Later, they opened international offices in Henley-on-Thames, England, UK (1972), as well as in Canada (1975), and in Australia (1977). In addition to making the films, Weston Woods also conducted interviews with the writers, illustrators, and makers of the films. The films have appeared on children's television programs such as Captain Kangaroo, Eureeka's Castle, and Sammy's Story Shop. In the mid-1980s, the films were released on VHS under the Children's Circle titles, and Wood Knapp Video distributed these releases from 1988 to 1995.

Doc Kane is an American sound engineer. He has been nominated for four Academy Awards in the category Best Sound, and won Best Sound Editing at the 77th Academy Awards for The Incredibles. He has worked on nearly 500 films since 1984.
