General Education Colleges under Goa University

Carmel College for Women is an institute of higher education Nuvem, Goa, India. The college was established in 1964. It is the first college for women in Goa. The college is run by the nuns of the Carmel Congregation. The college began with the departments of Arts and Science and then expanded to Department of Commerce in 1987. The college offers undergraduate degree in arts, science and commerce. It also offers a master's degree in commerce and master's degree in psychology. The college has as a Grade "A" by NAAC. The current principal of the college is Dr. Sr. Aradhana A.C

Cuncolim Educational Society's College of Arts and Commerce is a college based in Cuncolim, Goa. The college was established in 1987–88. The college offers undergraduate degrees in Arts and Commerce stream.

Dempo College of Arts and Science is based in Miramar, Goa. The college was established in 1962. It has been accredited with grade "A". The college offers undergraduate courses in Science and Arts stream.

S.S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics is based in Panjim, Goa. The institute was established in 1966. The college offers undergraduate and Post graduate degree in Commerce. (B.Com. and M.Com.)

Rosary College of Commerce and Arts was established in June 1990. The college offers undergraduate degrees in commerce, arts and computer applications and a master's degree in commerce.

St. Joseph Vaz Educational Society is a sister concern of the Diocesan Society of Education, the largest Educational Society running over 100 educational institutions in the State of Goa and providing quality education to the students enrolled in its institutions. St. Joseph Vaz Educational Society, having realised the need of opening an Institution of Higher Education, decided to establish a College of Science named St. Joseph Vaz College to perpetuate the memory of the first Goan Saint for posterity. The College, located in Cortalim, is running an undergraduate course in Science faculty. The College is affiliated to Goa University and recognised by Government of Goa. St. Joseph Vaz College will always attempt to provide a platform for young minds to enhance their knowledge and skills and thereby contribute to the growth of education in the State and Country.

South Indian Education Society (SIES), founded in 1932, is one of the oldest educational societies in Mumbai. SIES has established a high school, a group of arts, science and commerce colleges, along with academic and professional institutions of higher learning with more than 18,000 students.

Vidya Vikas Academy (VVA) is an English medium school co-educational in Goa. The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school has 29 classrooms. The school offers classes from Nursery to 12th standard. It was established in the year 1994. The school had humble beginnings housed in the same rented premises that had earlier used by Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics and Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law. Today the school occupies a spacious building in the Vidya Vikas Mandal Campus and offers its pupils state-of-the-art facilities. In 2012, Vidya Vikas Academy decided it would have higher secondary section(11th and 12th).

Dnyanprassarak Mandal's College and Research Center or DMC College Assagao, is a college located in the North Goa district's village of Assagao, is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC), and is accredited by the NAAC with a Grade "A" and a score of 3.15/4.00. The college is ranked among the top 150 colleges of India under National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Ramnath Kare, also known as Ramnathbab and Babu. is an Indian industrialist, educationist and philanthropist from Goa. He is based in Margao, South Goa and is an avid reader. Kare has studied at St Xaviers College in Mumbai.

Central Hindu Military Education Society (CHME) is Indian educational society. It was founded by Dr. B. S. Moonje. The Central Hindu Military Education Society is considered a member of the Sangh Parivar group, an umbrella term for Hindu nationalist organisations led by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dr. B. S. Moonje. He established various types of military schools and colleges to empower the Indian youth.
