Walsden Cricket Club are an English cricket team currently playing in the Lancashire League; however, despite being in a Lancashire league, the village is actually situated in the county of West Yorkshire.
The Lancashire League is a competitive league of local cricket clubs drawn from the small to middle-sized mill towns, mainly but not exclusively, of East Lancashire. Its real importance is probably due to its history of employing professional players of international standing to play in the League.
Turf Moor is an association football stadium in Burnley, Lancashire, England, which has been the home of Burnley F.C. since 1883. Edwin Lloyd St Hill was a Trinidadian cricketer who played two Test matches for the West Indies in 1930. His brothers, Wilton and Cyl, also played for Trinidad and Tobago; in addition, the former played Test matches for the West Indies. St Hill first played local cricket in with some success and graduated to the Trinidad and Tobago team. He played regularly for the next five years but was not selected for any representative West Indian teams. His increased success in 1929 attracted the attention of the West Indies selectors, and he played two Test matches against England in 1930. Although not particularly successful, he bowled steadily and was chosen to tour Australia with the West Indies in 1930–31. He was fairly effective in first-class games but the form of the other fast bowlers in the team meant that he was not chosen for any of the Test matches.

Colne Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at The Horsfield in Colne. For the 2022 season their club captain is Tom Bradshaw, their 2nd team captain is Martin Kegg, their 3rd team captain is Thomas Ellacott and their T20 captain is also Tom Bradshaw. Their professional is Geeth Kumara of Sri Lanka. The club has won the league on five occasions and won the cup six times, achieving a league and cup double in 1959. It has employed professionals including Amar Singh, Bill Alley and Collis King.
East Lancashire Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at Alexandra Meadows in Blackburn. For the 2015 season its captain was Mark Bolton and its professional was Juan de Villiers. The club has been very successful, winning the League on 14 occasions, the Worsley Cup on 18, the Inter League Club Challenge Trophy twice in its ten-year history, and has won a greater percentage of its games than any other club. It has employed professionals including Fazal Mahmood, Allan Border and Paul Reiffel.
Enfield Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at Dill Hall Lane in Accrington. For the 2011 season its captain is Adam Bracewell, and its professional is Werner Coetsee of South Africa. The club has won the league on 5 occasions and the cup on 4. It has employed professionals including Clyde Walcott, Sylvester Clarke and Damien Fleming.
Haslingden Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at Bentgate in Haslingden. For the 2020 and 2021 seasons its captain is Jordan Shannon. For the first time post war, the club did not employ a professional for the shortened 2020 season owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. The club has won the league on 12 occasions and the cup on 5. It has employed professionals including George Headley, Clive Lloyd and Dennis Lillee. Another notable professional was West Indian opening batsman Phil Simmons. Ian Austin went on to have a successful career with Lancashire and England. Played for Haslingden as both an amateur and professional having started his career at Haslingden as a junior.
Ramsbottom Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at Acre Bottom in Ramsbottom. The club has won the league on four occasions and won the cup 6 times, including two victories in consecutive years in 2001 and 2002. It has employed professionals including Wasim Raja, Keith Arthurton and Brad Hodge.
Rawtenstall Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at the Worswick Memorial Ground in Rawtenstall. For the 2016 season its captain is Keith Roscoe the club was unable to get a professional as Brett Pelser, opted to leave to become professional at Horwich. The club recruited overseas amateur Nick Malio from Australia for the second half of the season. After a period of using substitute pro's including former pro Pelsner. The club has won the league on seven occasions and won the cup three times.
Todmorden Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at Centre Vale in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. Until the administrative border was changed in 1888, the historic boundary between Lancashire and Yorkshire ran through the centre of the ground.
Rishton Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at Blackburn Road in Rishton, Lancashire, England. For the 2017 season their captain is Matt Lambert and professional is Shaun von Berg.

Clitheroe Cricket Club is a cricket club which plays its home games at the Clitheroe Cricket Bowling & Tennis Club ground on Chatburn Road in Clitheroe, Lancashire, England. From 2017, it plays in the Lancashire League, having resigned the Ribblesdale League at the end of the 2016 season.
